  1. Hi Keith, slight derail here but are you stopping doing kindling? Hope you are well, and the kindling is going well and top quality. Cheers Pete.

    Clear out

In that case, Id be happy with the 365 and the parts if they are the right money.

Are you wanting to sell together or seperate? Id be interested in either the 362 or the 365 with a spares saw.
  4. IMO Dave, if you actually need a ride on I would go for new. The good second hand ones are hard to find. Many are already causing problems or worn out and have been replaced by a new one. If you were talking commercial machines it would be a different matter, a bit like asking would you buy a second hand domestic grade saw? Anyhow, heres one the old boy has just bought; Hayter Heritage M10/30H
  5. Whats wrong with the caps? Nowt wrong with the ones on mine!
  6. I think Oregon do, and Carlton but Husky only list 28". That saw can sure handle more but perhaps the warranty wont?
  7. My house keeps the rain off. That way, if it rains stay home. No jacket needed. Hopefully as relevant as the title of the thread! .
  8. I also ended up with an australian oil pump on mine, and there was a thread a few weeks back about higher output pumps on the 660, but I cant find it now. The bigger output pump only really applies if you intend running bigger bars. I run a 36" on mine, and also mill with it so got the upgrade. The saw should be fine standard with say 25" or 30" most of the time. This is not a negative for the Stihl, as Husky dont do a 36" bar for the 395. Its just IMO Stihl are pushing the saw by listing the 3 foot bar being available on the 660. Husky max on the 395 is 28" listed.
  9. I believe the 372xpg is no longer available:blushing:
  10. Heres one of the threads; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/8589-ms660-ms460-air-filter-upgrades.html
  11. Bit more reading for you; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/12776-husky-372-a.html
  12. I have the 660, very nice saw. If you go down this route though, do a search on here in the chainsaw forum and read up about the issues that have been covered. The threads Ive been involved with include oiling and filtration issues. I have tried the husky equivelants but would say, once sorted the stihl is a much more superior saw in my opinion.
  13. Totally agree, but someone will think its worth it, buy it, and love it for many more years yet to come. I think landys are about the only 4x4 that can be seen to be within a hairs width of the end of its life but someone will pay a lot of money for it and keep throwing more at it to keep it on the road!
  14. I agree the 200 is probably the best engine ever in a landy, but there is no mention of major rebuilds and having near 180k miles it will be tired. Not sure I would like to part with £4k on a 21 year old landy and depend on it for reliable service in the workplace. Just my ten really, but Im sure it will sell anyhow so matters little i guess.
  15. Do you really think £4k is cheap for that or were you joking?
  16. Would be near a straight swap then for my 2002 double cab with 85k on it then?
  17. Same here Ian, I use the first smaller box for description of works, then diagram in the larger one. My diagrams are basic too, but I tend to use a ruler:lol:

    Poplar

I did, but it was so bad I heaped it up in the field and had a spud roasting night!
  19. He maybe has a point about the husky preclean system, but its not the most important issue when buying a topper is it? P.S, I also think the guy has self image problems too. He should have got the next size up in pants:001_rolleyes: .
  20. I would be interested one if they come out under £250 inc all costs(VAT + import duty etc) The 365 Euro will be before discount though wont it?

    Poplar

Ok, just to clarify my list of preferred firewood; Poplar; great kinding, also good to be sold as yellow ash when stocks of good stuff are running low. Ash, Sycamore, Cherry, Birch and Oak; Excellent! The best there is in fact. I also would like to add I have lots in stock. ALL other firewood; Rubbish! I have none of this in stock.

    Feels like it:thumbup:
