  1. No its not John, its new old stock, UK version. Its actually got a 2007 sticker on the brake handle but was bought into the dealers in 2009. It has never been out of the box, I opened the top of the box today to see the date on it, otherwise its never even seen daylight.
  2. I have no pics, its a brand new saw, never been out of the box and will have a full warranty as new!
  3. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing a brand new REAR handle MS200 with full warranty? If so, let me know and how much its worth to you.
  4. No, mine's definately not Platanus. It is Acer, common Sycamore or Pseudoplatanus I believe.
  5. How about this one then Kev, I hate getting a tax bill, it means my accountant is crap!
  6. One of mine from a while back Johnny, and its still there too:confused1: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/tree-health-care/6661-sycamore-bleeding-canker.html
  7. The vid was a little long winded Chris, but looks like you managed the job well, and under control. Well done and cheers for sharing:thumbup:
  8. Never seen or heard of it being done before. My main concern was to distortion of the treated steel and control of the "nip". I would say the manufacturers would advise against doing it but in the real work situation I think there would be very little noticable effect.
  9. So would you say thats an accurate way of doing it?
  10. Really chuffed you've got it sorted, but just curious what you mean by "nipping up bar rails" and is there a tool for this?
  11. If you have a word with my Dad, I think there could be 3 or maybe 4 Leyland weights and also think there is a couple of 4 stone weights with an old sack scale.
  12. Other beech weights are 12" = 42lbs per foot length, 24" = 169lbs per foot length. Want any more while I got the page infront of me?
  13. Ill let it out the bag Nige...... I looked at the log table in back page of art and science of practical rigging! The table is based more for US trees but dare say the Beech table will be similar to ours. Is it for working out what length of log a particular wee machine will lift?
  14. 95lbs per foot length. About 375kgs in new money, possibly 400kgs if very wet. All off top of my head mate, but dare say Im not too far out:thumbup1:
  15. Dave, you have contributed nothing to this thread and if you wish to stop partaking that is your choice. Just like it is your choice to constantly antagonise, provoke and be derogatory. I will not miss it. I put forward a suggestion on price after I had more details from the OP. With attitude, you have asked me questions I have tried answering. Simple. So Wired, as for another suggestion/possibility of doing the job for £1000(and removing from site) have you thought of a large chipper hired in for a few hours and letting an equestrian or hort place take the chips?
  16. I see no relevance Dave. WHY AN ARTIC?
  17. Why would I need an artic Dave?
  18. Why, whats wrong with £1k for 2 men for a day?
  19. £1000 if Im quiet, £5000 if Im busy:thumbup:
  20. Height? Stem diameter? Access? Better still, Pics?
  21. Stories like this make me chuckle! Unfortunately its not worth getting into conversation with such, they usually know it all and are not capable of taking professional advice:001_rolleyes: You may as well send them on their way and giggle when they have gone!

    Stihl 201T

Ooops! Beat me to it! I believe the internals are very different:sneaky2:

    Stihl 201T

Alex, the problem was some info got leaked about the 201, but unfortunately the pictures and comparative tables were said to be for the "t" version but the actual stats were for the rear handled one and it will be heavier.
