  1. Matt, I think you just answered your own question mate!
  2. If you disturbed them, yes. It seems like you stopped before disturbing them though. The law states its illegal to disturb a nesting bird. End of. If you didnt carry out an adequate survey, you should have.
  3. Rob, its a shame you didnt feel like you could afford my LDV at the time, as Im sure the cost of this, the time, hassle of shovelling etc would of been very close to the cost of my truck all told. However, you have built something that will earn you money and is now ready to roll. I know you're not just starting out, but to compare when I started up I had a peugeot 205 van and smashed down in the back of that. So dont worry about the image thing too much, just use it for now and move on as and when you can.
  4. OR, you could show us some of your examples:001_rolleyes:
  5. Can you not weigh it fully on, then again with an axle off the bridge?
  6. Rob, when you weigh it can you weigh the back axle on its own? Will be interesting to know how that compares with the max on the plate on the truck:thumbup1:
  7. Looking good Steve, how did you get around the air suspension issue in the end?
  8. I have a neighbour who is a lobster fisherman and he claims back tax from the petrol his boat engine uses. Not sure if this is because its classed as offshore use though.
  9. Good on you, hope all goes as it should. If there is some sort of petition we can sign let us know. Im sure the majority of members here will give support.
  10. I never knew what breed it was, just thought if it was that good it must have been a Stihl:lol:
  11. Who are you asking Hama? If its me, Its just where the two cuts cross, nothing so much as a "hole".
  12. I would say there are too many cuts in the log also. I tried some like that and it seemed with so many cuts the whole in the centre was too big and the flame didnt "draw" well. A log with just 2 cuts (so it was quartered) seemed to draw and burn much better.
  13. Throw all the bits away, drill out the outlet, reset the carb and hey presto...modded!
  14. Go on Kev, get you hand in your pocket. You know you want to:thumbup: I did know they were rare but thought there was a few more than he says. Does anyone know if the numbers are correct?
  15. John, I think you may find neither avoiding, nor evading tax were the subject of the thread either! My appologies if you thought I was having a go at you. That was not my intension, quite the opposite actually. My point was that there seems to be many, many ways the working man is taxed on a whole already, but the freeloaders I was referring to contribute nothing and make a career out of feeding from the current system in this country. The two are in very different catagories to each other IMO, none more so than their work ethic. As for the connection of my comment to the thread, I feel there are too many honest and straight up people worrying about their tax responsibilities, whereas, Im sure much more money is being thrown to those who never have any intension of working in the first place.
  16. Evading tax responsibilities is something a working person may do. Freeloading however, is someting a person does if he doesnt work. Two totally different beings IMO:sneaky2:
  17. I know where you are going with this Bob, and will be interested to see the response!
  18. Its something very sticky, in the first pic it couldnt be pulled off, in the second even tipping it upside down didnt tip it off!
  19. Would be nice to meet up Lorry and I guess you wont get a much more local arb event! Just going to work on the boss now and see if she can deal with a day with the little un running riot when she cant do anything about it!
  20. So was I Lorry, so was I! You going to be there bud? Nearly Steve, think it was just over 2 years old when i got it. It now has a massive 16,500 miles on the clock! Just serviced, taxed and MOT'd a couple of weeks ago so she's ready for a trip out!
  21. Cheers Steve, you might guess why i dont want it scratched, its 18 years old now!
  22. Cheers Steve, I maybe ought to contact them myself and ask. We were going away but the wife has done her back in, so would be an ideal chance for me to pop up on my own for the day on the bike, but my main concern would be keeping my bike from being scratched in a field full of arbs 4x4's! Lol!
  23. If I come, anyone know if I can park my bike somewhere safe? Like around the back of someones stand?
