  1. Nice one Young 'Un:thumbup: Will be very useful for you to have, just a shame about all the COSHH that goes with it:thumbdown: Well done Liam
  2. Not real sure, i have a mate who owns a large stove shop and it was running. The smoke is pushed through a manifold with a series of holes in it directed over the fire and then ignites. Almost mystical watching the flame effect from it. Really impressed with it, but i never asked for a price:blushing:
  3. I was looking at one the other week with the after burn on it, where it super heats the smoke and re burns it. Not a bit of smoke, and the inside of the stoke had NO soot in it
  4. Its wet and hard, but probably one of the best firewoods you will ever get:thumbup:
  5. Nice stove Garry, is it smokeless?
  6. Yeh, i recon in the first pic, you would only need 4 or 5 logs to fill a net:001_tongue: Guess its all to do with the fire they are going in! If such as young bud Flamin ace has customers who like em like that size, or if you are splitting for yourself and you have a big stove say, it sure saves some work:thumbup1: Nice tidy heap all the same Garry:thumbup:
  7. Once they are split they will be lovely:lol:
  8. Elm bud. Even the bags of split logs are full of fruit also:001_huh:
  9. It will burn Rupe, just not real high calorific value. More like a softwood, quick and hot burning. It wont keep long before it starts rotting either, so once its dry, burn it:blushing:
  10. No worries then. I got the feeling i was being interrogated after making a humorous comment, that was all. Perhaps my use of smilies was mis-interpreted. I think Tommy put it in a nutshell;
  11. Have i done something to offend you Dave? Your tone indicates so.
  12. The guy has obviously a serious addiction:lol:
  13. A bit sad really when you think about it:001_tt2:
  14. Somehow the landy seems to run MUCH better on the 47p stuff!
  15. My old boy just got some in at 47p but that was 500 gal.

No worries fella:thumbup1: I will add, yet again, they are a great little saw, just dont compare it. It has its own use, and its not a blocking down saw!
  20. Ok, sounds like your head is a bit mushed! This thread will do fine, you start off by showing us a pic of a bar that to most of us looks like it has been either abused, over heated or has had very heavy work. You say it is only 5 months old and has had little work but it has hardly any paint left on it. This is NOT the case of a bar you describe. You go on to say(somewhat big headedly),quote "i mantain my equipment far more than all the people i no around here", but admit quote "yer there is grease holes not been greased as much as it should have its got to be said." Perhaps an admission of your lacking of maintenance? You then go on to say the reason there is hardly any paint left on the bar is not overheating, but due to filing burrs, yet the paint near the burrs is still there in the pic. So perhaps your filing skills are not great? Also, it seems you have been concerned enough about this problem to start a thread about it, but yet are not willing to take the said bar back to the dealer, where, if it is as you say, a very well maintained, hardley used 5 month old bar, they would replace it. This leads me to believe you know the story is not as you say it is. As for saving time changing chains on site saves time, its utter rubbish! You may be able to change a chain quickly, but you should also be able to sharpen one quickly too! If you are taking chains off to sharpen with a grinder back at the yard later, it usually means you cant sharpen a chain correctly on site, hence my comments about needing lessons. Getting a sharp chain by hand is your basic saw maintenance ticket. P.S, dont be offended, if theres something you dont like take it on the chin, and if someone is trying to help, dont reject it thinking you already know better, none of us know it all, i have been "learning" tree work for 25years.
  21. Never run the 445 but i know reatil is £550 so that sounds very cheap. Dont forget the import tax and shipping. By the time you have paid both, it wont be a much cheaper than a UK saw!
  22. Just out of interest, where can you buy a 445 for less than £300 quid? Seems VERY cheap!
  23. No, not trying to offend you fella, just reading some of the posts and threads you have made, you seem to have some very strange views and ways. Almost novice like.
  24. Word on the street is, in the US it sounds like the 660 is going to be superceeded, so i guess they arent going to change em now:blushing: Also Justin, any chance of askin if they intend importing the 192t, and if not, why not?
