  1. With that mentallity, you will never earn a good living, retire early, be able to replace kit as needed, afford to have two months off if you are ill, etc, etc. You will cover costs and earn a wage, but never have time to scratch your arse. Sorry its a bit harsh, but one day you will reflect and say "you know what, that big daft bloke on arbtalk said i would end up like this" You are also one of the reasons prices are constantly driven down in some areas, but thats another post!
  2. Just wondering about your thoughts on parts such as this on t-bay; HUSQVARNA 288 CYLINDER AND PISTON ASSEMBLY on eBay (end time 13-May-10 20:25:13 BST) I know a few of you on here use this particular seller for consumables and i understand he is recommended, but what about the larger engine parts such as this pot and piston?
  3. For all those using WD40, try using GT85. It has silicone in it so when it dries out (like WD does a bit) it will leave a silicone coating that continues to lubricate.
  4. Should medical treatment costs following an accident be claimed from the insurance company, not offset against tax:sneaky2:
  5. Dont worry FRANK, it is bank holiday:thumbup: Just had a quick look for you, found just the thing that will help keep you cool while climbing in summer. You will also look cool too as i know you are image conscious Pink Beaded Beach Flipflops on eBay (end time 03-May-10 11:05:37 BST)

Real nice pics Bart:thumbup1: Seen the same thing myself today at my Dads, didnt have the camera with me though:thumbdown: Even got a telling off by the mother for getting a bit too close, still a nice sight to see:thumbup:
  7. According to Dean, it would depend if he'd been there first:scared1:
  8. Maybe Kev only has three or four transactions per year:confused1:
  9. Dean Willi?
  10. Sounds like your problems was, before you "mended" them, there wasnt much oil left to leak out:sneaky2: Now you have topped em up, out it comes! The grease wont come out as quick, but it will still find its way out slowly. At least you wont leave embarrasing pools everywhere:blushing:
  11. Thats a strange comment, where did you hear that from? Reason i ask is, lrseries are Britpart agents. If you buy from them you either get Britpart or genuine LR.
  12. Very good points Jonathan. I have heard of people when milling having a second person pulling the mill with a rope. Guess they will need a steady hand. This was something i was going to start a thread about. I am still nailing a ladder to the log and bending the nails over the rungs! Very crude but i intend to do my own little invention soon, still using the ladder but if it works i shall be happy to share, and will do a seperate thread about it.
  13. They allow drugs in your college?
  14. Real nice vid FRANK, good find. Cheers for sharing. As for anyone fancying doing that type of work nowadays, i couldn't see anyone born after 1980 being upto it:001_tt2:
  15. You must have worked fast then Darr, (theres always a first) to get it edited before the edit function timed out:001_rolleyes: So, back on thread then eh, can go back and watch it now! Lol!
  16. Now i can see how the iphone changed your life..................its confused you even more:lol:
  17. :001_tt2:
  18. Might wanna try that agian young 'un:confused1:
  19. How did you stand for paying import tax Charieh? Just curious how the dealer signing got you out of paying it?
  20. Ok, another thing i will add, is a saw that size is not a regular purchase item. By that i mean think of it as a long term investment and get the best for the jobs you will use it for. Dont restrict yourelf for a few quid now, then spend years regretting not getting the next better one.
  21. Hate to say it but you will get what you pay for:001_rolleyes:
  22. Sorry, i didnt realise you were being sarcastic by saying "good"! NO, NO, NO! My wife does my book keeping, she is not paid, but the accountant claims an allowance for her time spent doing them! And dont ask how he does that, i dont know, he is the accountant!
  23. Just a thought Dean, something i seem to remember from my accountant, you can claim for an office in the house, but be careful with planning permission. You are not allowed a room solely for the use of work without permission. Mine is in the kids playroom, that way you can still offset.
  24. What like porridge Steve?
