  1. Was good to watch though all the same, but as we all know we couldnt use bottle jacks in this country as they are not fit for purpose:001_rolleyes:
  2. Will take a look at them Justin as im in the maket for some too. Got a set of Youngmans industrial step ladder combi at the moment, served me well but now a bit rickety.
  3. All the best Bob, keep positive and im sure it will work out.
  4. Ahhh, puzzled but its all clear now! Thought it was my saw, as there cant be many 372xp's around with double dogs, didnt recognise the stump. I thought it was an ash:001_rolleyes:
  5. Nige, i showed Louise the first pic as i was so impressed with the hinge. She said if you did that with your teeth, you need to visit the dentist:lol: Looked like you had a great day that day, nice to see the old Matador out and great pics:thumbup:
  6. I know where the train pic was taken Darr, but what about the husky pic? That saw looks very familiar but dont remember the job:confused1:
  7. Not applicable then eh? Whos saw is that?
  8. That one hasnt been entered yet, but as it was winch assisted is in another category, automatically qualifying for 2 extra points for technical input! If you are to enter AND be judge, perhaps you should give more examples than others, in different categories such as winch assisted, large(above 20"), 2xbar and 2+1/2 x bar and how about hinges aloft? Come on, show us the standard we should be aspiring to:thumbup:
  9. Perhaps, as MASTER judge, you should discredit your own entries, then other entries may have higher marks:sneaky2: Mine may achieve a 12 out of 10 then:001_tt2:
  10. Not sure all his antics will get more cash:sneaky2: You for real? Cant believe a qualified professional would stoop so low!
  11. Rob, do you make a habbit of offering "room" in the back of your pick up in car parks to guys?
  12. Cant say anymore than has been said really, other than you know plenty are thinking of you and will support you if needs be. All the best fella, sure all will be fine
  13. Nice bit of back peddling there Darr, I think by post No. 11 you managed to get yourself dug out of that hole:001_rolleyes:
  14. Rob, back to the paint, can you get the ceramic finish in other colours or is it just the black and how much extra did it cost? Been looking at the metallic red, just for something different but the dealer never said owt about this fancy covering:sneaky2:
  15. No, sorry, you lot are still talking some kind of inner witch craft garbage.
  16. How the hell do i find out what browser i've got?
  17. Other way for me, cant stand the bungies. Always feels like its pulling the saw back if you're cutting out far in front. At 6'3" you will need a minimum 50" one though. Better a bit long than short in my experience.
  18. Sorry Kev, didnt mean to offend. Were you skeered on the zip? Anyone got any pics for us who couldnt make it?
  19. Testcricket; Very nice dogstooth:thumbup:
  20. Whatever the situation, the dogstooth would have reduced the risk of highchair massively. I am not saying that gob was ideal, it was a little too small for me too, but a "deep" gob may have caused it to highchair earlier, possibly before the backcut was even started. So, i gues i am saying you got it wrong, yes. If it was as you say pulled too hard, a dogstooth would have stopped it splitting. If it had a one sided canopy, weighted badly, the dogstooth would have stopped it. As for the reference to years served, it means jack. As a reference, i have had a driving license for 25 years and never killed anyone, does that make me a safe driver? No, it doesnt. My point is, its wrong to state "improper advice" when many view this forum as a form of education.
  21. Was that the highest Kev went up a tree:001_tt2: Hope you all had a great time. Looking forward to more pics:thumbup1:
  22. Cheers for that Jonathan, they are presently 4 lats on 10 foot boards. I can easily take the weight off and slot more lats in:thumbup:
  23. Amazing! Thats amazing how qualified cutters can come to a conclusion such as the depth of gob being the cause of a high chair, and totally miss the fact it was the wrong cut! Spectacular all the same, and if anyone is watching and trying to learn from such pics and comments, its a good way of seeing how things can go wrong. A dogstooth would have been hugely better cut, regardless of gob depth!
