  1. Commercial road tax for new trucks is to be £200 per year. As for station wagons it will be around £950 for the first year, then £435 per year then on. Land Rover have now removed the option to fit seats in rear of commercials, and likewise the fittings to retro fit. Any fitment (retro) will be seen as not in accordance with manufacturer and therefore will not be covered on insurance. It is also no longer possible to change the taxation class following a certain date(not sure what that is though). All new vehicles now are fixed as manufactured.
  2. I would say width of hinge is more crucial than depth of gob
  3. You're just scared you may have to give an award to the winner.
  4. Cheers sam, is this the first perfect hinge then? Do i get a prize?
  5. The stump end;
  6. Welcome, and enjoy the place fella!
  7. Just a wee Elm from last November. It was around 28" DBH. I really would like your rating if you haven't seen this one before;
  8. It is you with the camp kitchen though fella:001_tt2:
  9. Thats the signal to put the kettle on on Monday. In a camp FRANK kind of way:001_tt2:
  10. FRANK is jelous on two parts; 1, The hinge 2, A true MAN
  11. A recent one of Snoopy looking real well. Now over 14 still enjoying exactly what she wants to!
  12. Here you go, a couple more pics of the job. I know it was only a wee monkey! As it was a small tree, FRANK has to fill his working day somehow;
  13. Cheers for that Rob, Im just glad i was on the floor. FRANK cut it down:lol:
  14. You got a link to a BMI chart or site butch? I just wanna show you how fit i really am:biggrin:
  15. Only just seen this thread:001_rolleyes: It IS possible to climb over 15 stone, and i could prove that! Just never expect to tip prune:lol: You will manage fella, but try and lose some. The more, the easier it will get. Keep an eye on your weight as you get older. Not sure on your age, but I'm 42 now and its starting to get to my joints now. Good luck:thumbup1:
  16. Sonds fine to me Ian, the monkey stuff is a learning curve for me too:001_rolleyes:
  17. Everyone has an an opinion. Heres mine; I always spike on a pruning. Being a fat lad, its better to give the tree a good spiking rather than stand on every branch and snap it off due to an extreme weight on it:sneaky2:
  18. Not real sure what its worth Ian. Suppose £15 or £20 each? What ever you think, if its too much give us what you think and send us some pics of what you make, that will do me.
  19. Yorkshire i guess:001_tt2:
  20. Ok Daniel, so you have finally shown your face on here, first of all, welcome. Perhaps you would care to answer a couple of first questions. Why is it you persist in carrying out these type of far fetched and risky methods instead of dismantling in a more controlled and safer manner? On many, if not all of your vids there seems to be a much safer way of getting the tree down. Can you justify dismissing safety and replacing the main priority with your higher risk methods?
  21. May be able to help with the walnut Ian but it will be a while before i can check. If my memory hasnt gone too bad, i seem to think there is a log about 15" diameter and same in length. Dare say it could go on Franks shipment if it comes off. I will look next time im there.
