  2. Mine is done through a young semi-professional lad, cost about 100.00 a year and very little to set up. Have a look at my website and contact him through that if you want.

    Spikes

Ditto, I've just bought mine out of retirement with a pulley to advance the vt, purely for ease on the last 30' of big take downs. I'd love to try those geckos as i've had my bashlins for 6 years now and they are getting a little tired.
  4. No your returning their waste you don't want to get done for theft now do you I have a client i'm doing that to next week. Won't return phone calls or anything.
  5. I've had mine for about 18 months as well, it's great no worries here apart from the rectangles again. If you expect it to happen it's no drama to hold it straight while you tighten the straps. I'd buy another for sure.
  6. It sure does ! That and the police dogs trainning there
  7. My yard track is nearly 1/2 mile long through a semi-mature pine plantation then opens up into a 2 acre cleared area. I could never afford to lay even a cheap track and hard stand area Burnham. Probably cost around $60,000 !
  8. To some people they are great to others they are over priced metal. Just depends on your circumstances and work type I guess. We chose a mog because it was right for us, we allready had a PTO chipper and nothing other than a heavy duty 4x4 can get into our yard in the wet
  9. The art rope guide may be expenisve but it's well worth it and I'm a tight arse lol
  10. Hear hear, and there is the crux of the matter... After 6 years I now realise I do this because I enjoy the practical work, not for the money that's for sure. Plus the 2 customers in ten that are genuinely nice people and appreciate you.
  11. What he said ! and I used to do it on my own as it's neh on impossible to get people that don't climb to stand and watch lol. Makes you hyper aware of safety as well. If your really worried just leave a note with someone you trust of your location and when your due back.
  12. Nice Mog, I would never have a chipper on the front though it's hard enough turning left on a sharp bend with no passengers lol

    ArbDogs? Pics!

Bought home tonight.. Name this dog ! We can't think of a good name he's a Staffie and we'd like something short, snappy and arb related
  16. Me to I trained as a countryside ranger and it was invaluable when i left college
  17. Andy, I used to contract for that firm they are very good so don't worry about suggesting them at all. Phone the Iver no. and ask for Alastair Beddell.

    do you.....

Fine thanks Ian, how about you ? Will be after some SIPS again soon
  19. Buzz

    do you.....

I did just that on a leaning thuja in the rain, will never leave pegs again.
  20. I did a 4 day course some years ago (needs updating) Anna did a 2 day course I think. The job sheets in the unimog have the clients address on and if we have staff with us we allways make sure they know where we are and where the mobile phones are etc.
  21. Ha ha me to, when some clients ask if i require their chq. garuntee card I often say no jokingly and tell them we know where they live etc. I only ever had two clients I didn't get the money out of. It's not worth the hassle of courts in my opinion. Good luck Steve
  22. Ha ha lol now get back to the LRO forums
  23. Quite right but if you using a landy for work how often would you drive through water that deep also it's fairly easy to relocate or seal the electrics. Independent specialist will service a defender fairly cheaply now they have the test book software. I'm not picking a fight by the way lol ! I've run SIII's, an LPG 110 2 discos, a freelander and a TD5 double cab so i must be an enthusiast LOL
  24. Just re-read this thread, as Ed said try as hard as you can to at least get a U1200 same size as the 1000 but the turbo makes alot of difference. Having said that I'd choose a tidy U1000 over a ragged U1200 if it came down to that.
  25. Hiya sorry we never managed to catch up on the mog discussion, things have been hectic my end ! Chipper wise Farmi are great but have a look at side feed TP230 that's what I run and it's been great for roadside working, and also on narrow short drive ways. You can allways park on the road and stack brash up the drive. Good hunting
