  1. Providing the ratings are right use which ever suits. Don't mix steel and ali as Steve said. I allways use steel though lol
  2. Sad news, he had a 15 year old squirrel I wonder if the maintenance was up to scratch as it sounds like he had a catastrophic control failure from the witness reports.
  3. Not as yet, there is a farm in Ripley which is being culled that is 6 miles from my yard. No straw mat down at my place as yet. They lifted the restrictions way way to quick IMO. Bio terrorism is my bet !
  4. Marc you've come along way since that first day with me. Well done mate
  5. Well i find this stuff interesting anyway ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbzKmP9bUqk&mode=related&search= The guy in the first one is a right muppet lol, most HEMS pilots are ex. combat hence the impressive flying skills.
  6. Our 3 bed rented house is costing 1k a month my 3 bed house i sold last year was a 1k mortgage go figure !
  7. I'd like them to drop a wee bit so Anna and I can but a decent place next year BUT if people start to feel the pinch the work will disappear. We are experiencing a busy spell at the moment and prices have gone up. Not sure how long that will last for though. We do like to panic in this country like the Northern Rock customers who panicked today.
  8. Your boss sounds like a right cock, and asking you to carry out tasks you aren't trained for is bang out of order ! Good luck with whatever option you choose.
  9. That's a big willow Steve ! I did one over a car forecourt a few weeks ago with Anna a similar size with a bee's nest in the base !

    Wood burner

My parents recently had a wood burning stove fitted and they had to have the chimney lined as well.
  11. I agree with both of you. One of my major pet hates is listening to people moaning about there bossess while sitting on their arses. It's not like we have 100% profit margins like sales companies. Generally we give more to the community than we get out of it financially.
  12. Avoid partnerships at all costs, everything has to be split 50/50. How much do you both need to earn then treble that and that will give you an idea of turnover requirments. My advice would be start to seperate business and work together on the bigger stuff. Kit, insurance, vans and chippers all cost big bucks. Good luck ! This industry is a way of life rather than a money making venture, as Andy said be prepared for long hours and not as much profit as you think. Everyone else has to be paid before yourself.
  13. Looks ok Lee but i would have left off grounds maintenance but that's just me.
