  1. I dabble:sneaky2:
  2. A neatly wrapped box arrived today with my new, Class A Stretch airs, just thought I would line them up with my still good, over two year old, pair of, Class C's, custom burn, cover up patches and all. The one on the crotch area is of course caused by a pole saw.
  3. Yes, I think that is what Nod is trying to achieve?
  4. I have just ordered a pair of Class A Stretch Airs for summer, I will be taking the whipping twine to them when they arrive, first the buttons for the braces, next the phone pocket stitching and velcro fastener and lastly reinforce the fly. Should be Okay then.
  5. Nice work old chap.
  6. Well I had to take off the anvil as it was badly worn and turn it over to use the other side, of course the bolts were seized, they rounded off inside as I tried to turn them so it was down to my friendly mechanic who welded two bolts on to the existing bolts to take them off, that done, I have to wait till Monday to get some new bolts from a local fastener store. I did manage to put the new rotator on myself with no help though
  7. Yeah I am struggling with my needle control, the palm makes it easier but I still keep stabbing myself. The crossover is also a concern a I am finding hard to get really smooth.
  8. New England Safety Blue is pretty easy then.
  9. I think that that would be a good start.
  10. 42 Splices should be made by someone competent to splice, eg the manufacturer. Competence should be demonstrable for each rope type. Hmmmm I can splice but am I competent??? Interesting point Tony, seems like a fair few of us on here can splice, how can it be proven that you are competent?

  12. If you like I can PM the consultants contact details, then you can discuss it further?
  13. Hmm curious, sorry that's the only picture I could find although I'm sure I took more.
  14. Take the pump out, give it a clean, use carb cleaner, you can buy it in any auto store, it has a high propulsion and is a solvent also blow through the oil feed pipe that comes from the tank, make sure the oil cap is off when you do this.
  15. Here you go. To be fair on the consultant it's not his spelling but the contractor who got him in to do the survey, still waiting on the information you require, hammer, survey location on the tree etc. Oh and the tree is coming down and I will be doing the climbing.
  16. Here is the first reading I have from the Picus on the Beech tree you were interested in, not good quality, I am waiting for the email for the rest of the report. This reading was taken at the fungal bracket height, around 10 to 15ft up, the consultant identified the fungus as Fomis fementeris, sp?
  17. Okay, cleared.
  18. Interesting Reg.
  19. Around how much is the chapter eight course Kevin?
  20. I have a press and also a masher thingy with a hand operated wheel but have not used it, my father used to press his own cider but it was horrible stuff, he would add some sugar to make it sweeter but it was still undrinkable, this was despite the fact that he had a good variety of apple tree in his jardin.
  21. Yeah, I agree.
  22. It's being sorted Lee.
  23. Yes, correcting peoples grammar or English is not something that I should be doing.
  24. I think Rupe has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to climbing equipment and as a Competent person, he should have.
  25. Eh? You mean a series of half hitches? I dunno.
