  9. Ha! I have just purchased some lengths of piano wire on Wills recommendation, to make some new fids, let the splicing commence!
  10. Tonight I will try again to make an eye splice in 16 strand rope, (XTC) This will be my fifth attempt, I am using old rope which I should imagine makes it harder and a home made wire fid, the trouble I am having is it always gets stuck on the cross over, I am using Samsons class one instructions, 61" to make an eye splice!! Everything goes fine until the crossover then I start to lose the plot:mad1:

    Iveco Daily?

Been looking at these trucks lately, called a mate of mine who runs six of them and he told me that they are fine as long as you wrap them in cotton wool, he has had water in the rear axle on three of the trucks that he runs. Interesting trucks though and cheap over in Wales.

  18. Apparently short tails can pull through under heavy loading, Ive started to stitch them with twine.
  19. Point taken. But I have been told that leaving the buttress's alone and cutting higher up with an even smaller face cut would have been the way to do it.
  20. Not exactly, check the picture forum.
  21. if you use a top handle. throw it away. I was going to mention that, avoid using a top handle one handed.
  22. Get yourself a elbow support,it's a special one that straps the elbow real tight, avoid the elasticated type of support bandage, the next thing you should do is see a good physio and get them to work on your lower arm and hands, by freeing up those muscles and tendons it will help your bad elbow.
