Hang on, hang on, not so fast sunshine. I use Marlow braid all the time, I like it. Maybe it's because I use a two, two VT at this time?

    bin it?

Have you tried running it with another carb? Check the fuel line, fuel filter in the tank. Check the impulse line (The other pipe that runs into the carb underneath the handle) for holes and make sure it is not coming loose. Check the rubber boot that joins the carb to the engine for splits. Take the carb apart, take pictures when you do it to remember how it all goes back together, clean the carb with carb cleaner, you can get it from an automotive store, fit a new diaphragm kit reassemble the carb. I can maybe send you a carb if you are really stuck. Al kindly gave me this link before, it helped a lot, http://www.zamacarb.com/pdfs/TechGuide_2007.pdf
  7. I have gone back to flush cutting branches, filling cavities with concrete and nailing tin over hollows, it's retro Arboriculture and you'll all be doing it soon.

  23. Hmm, well I used to attach my lanyard to that twisted clevis but after reading posts by Peter I switched to the lower attachment points, so much more comfortable, the clevis has locking gunk on the threads and I can't be arsed to take it off at the moment.
