  4. I agree, I can't stand them but I always work in gloves, just not chainsaw protective ones.

  11. Nice pic Mike. I remember mentioning the technique on a course I was on, the trainer had never heard of it, I have never had to use it but knowing how to do it is useful.
  12. Hello Jamie, I am struggling with the 16 strand eye splice, I made a wire fid but it's not very good, what do you use? I can't believe how much rope it takes to make a 16 strand eye splice. Regards, Carl.

    I got a large dead Redwood to remove in Feb, one day normal rigging for the branches then a crane next day for the stem, have sent Reg a PM asking for tips, should be fun, four hundred and fifty quid for myself.

  19. Hello Reg, I have a large dead redwood removal in February, rigging the limbs out in the normal way then using a crane for the stem, I have only done two removals with a crane before and am a little rusty, chain positioning will be crucial and was wondering if you had any tips?

  23. Thanks mate yeah I took it pretty easy, I have to for around a month, crown lifted three Beech trees a Holm Oak and reduced an Ash tree.

  25. I get Codeine Phosphate 30 mg and Diclofenac Sodium on prescription, I was off all last week, two visits to the Osteopath at 35 quid a pop and one massage therapy treatment at 20 quid, expensive week. First climb today.
