  1. I made this at the weekend for somebody.
  2. So now as well as doing the ROLO course to gain your CSCS card you'll also have to have your tickets updated if you haven't in the last five years, no refresher, no CSCS card. Luckily I have refreshed.
  3. I only Base tie for ascent, once in the canopy I get the groundie to un clip me, I normally work around the top of the tree double rope, or what ever it's called, then I clip in lower down in the canopy and leave a long leg for retrieval then work the rest of the tree SRT. But sometimes I don't do that. I swap between systems all the time, it's never just one way. I tend to start the day thinking not of rescue in the event of an accident but instead think of not getting myself in a situation where an incident could occur.
  4. Use hand ascenders. Wear gloves. Use a larger diameter rope. Or do what I do, get a contract climber in and don't climb so much.
  5. Yep, manufacturers should never stifle innovation.
  6. Bath is a nightmare for getting ready rid of chip, Resourceful Earth Compost in Bristol and Bath is quite close, free to tip if clean.
  7. Yes I've heard of site managers being sent off site whilst certain important tasks are completed.
  8. Yes, I work for one of the more switched on company's.
  9. No, you have to take the BALI/ROLO route.
  10. Paolo Bavaresco did an SRT demo at an APF years ago, I can't remember what equipment he was using though. My FB feed reminded me that I've been climbing SRT for over five years.
  11. Southern Tree Surgeons.
  12. Ah, I see, nice work l
  13. You getting a good deal on those Whitchard shackles?
  14. My grandad fought and survived the Somme and Ypres. Here he is...Dan Burgess | Arsenal.com
  15. Here you go Rich, USA made.
  16. I think paolo should get a mention.
  17. On my 150 I took of the deflector, 1 screw, then opened up the recess underneath then shaped the deflector out slightly to help improve gas flow, I also advanced the ignition. I've noticed though, working on another 150 that the exhaust has no removable deflector. My 150 is transformed, incredible difference.
  18. Steve, why can't I edit my posts? Spell check on my Android sucks.
  19. Mine was partially oiling which was puzzling until I took it apart. Have you modded yours Steve? I've advanced the ignition and ported the exhaust on mine, amazing difference.
  20. Is their any bar oil on the underside of the casing? I've heard of three 150`s that the feed pipe has come off the pump including my own. Otherwise, what colour is the plug?
  21. A resplice requires no certification. Bristol based. Splicer.
  22. Maybe modified DB.
  23. Not sure but check the video out on the site, incredibly flexible splice and very narrow, lovely.
