  1. Agreed, im no longer a subbie climber, well not much, but i like things to work the same way everytime which is why I have climbed on the HH since it came out. Making the production Akimbo viable for larger diameter ropes wouldnt be that much of an issue imo. I prefer fatter ropes for my tender southern arms.
  2. Nail on head Matty. Probably. Also probably why some suppliers in the UK don't offer the RW for sale.
  3. It was jumping a little last week on wet lime trees.
  4. I dont speak German. Freeworker Fachhandel für Baumpflege und Seilklettertechnik Statement Johannes Bilharz zum SRT-Verkaufsstop
  5. Surprised nobody's metioned it but SRT devices are now banned in Germany, HitchHiker, rope wrench, Unicender Rope Runner etc.
  6. Unlike other makes of 16 strand rope the Marlow rope has a braided core rather than a loose core and an extremely tight cover, it's a difficult rope to hand splice, I've only done one it's not nice.
  7. How about you two having a feckking arm wrestle to decide who's the biggest whinger?
  8. Applause! I climb on Bluemoon. Because I can.
  9. It's made by Southern Braids in SA.
  10. Tachyon copy, loose cover, will milk a fair bit, not the easiest to splice, not the hardest though.
  11. I have a friends 166 waiting a rebuild , two years so far, I can't find the time, It seized top and bottom but I have all the bits, anybody interested?
  12. Yeah but you knew you were funding a brand new device, it has been in intensive field testing by real climbing folk, changes have been made as a result, it couldn't be rushed, CE accreditation will take longer I should imagine not that CE testing seems foolproof, see ZIGZAG.
  13. Dunno, I've not even spliced it yet😁
  14. Nice Mark. I don't worry about selling only use. No CE on this either, shock!
  15. RE are currently moving their production facilities so Jamie is having the gofundme Akimbo parts machined locally which he will assemble himself and then ship out to the original donors.
  16. Bag containing harness, ropes, helmet, saw cover found in Bristol, it's being taken to Southmead police station tomorrow, contact the station if you have the above items missing.
  17. Yes this is correct, you update on one ticket and that counts as refreshing all your tickets or so I've been told, but who knows, getting a straight answer on this subject is always difficult.
  18. I didn't buy the Orange rope, pinto was £27.25 little biner was £5.07 Sirus cord was about £3.26 Prices may not be all that correct as I'm keeping that under my hat.
  19. So would I, to shorten the pulley legs but I don't use them anyway.
