  1. I asked this question about the lower feed rollers, I have now slapped them in with high strength thread lock, I've had the bolts sheer three times and always when I've got a huge amount of chipping to do, one time a bolt head made a horrible mess of the feed roller plate.
  2. Out of interest, should the Alan bolts be thread locked?
  3. Good stuff Mike, I've not even seen Mikey's SW yet but may see if I can borrow it for a big Walnut over a house job that's coming up. I can't recall though any bad thoughts on the SW just a honest review from a Kiwi in Norway. It'll be interesting to read the negative response it got on the American forum.
  4. Chortle.
  5. It's not mine, I already rebuilt it once. I'll ask the owner if he wants to sell.
  6. I just got this back again, seized again. Maybe a crank seal?
  7. Check all the wiring again, does the stress control work at all?
  8. I got some from WesSpur, you'll get hammered on import now though.
  9. Dynamic ropes can and are used in tree work for jobs such as seed collecting where you may have to climb above your TIP.

  11. Tagging is just pure ugly.
  12. I've been using Saturn blades for years with no problems.
  13. Aha, this seems to work.
  14. That's business.
  15. There is no such thing as Loler certifiable splices. Only CE certifiable splices. As far as I am aware. A rope manufacturer would normally leave the testing of their ropes and hand splices,( most ropes are still hand spliced but some are machine assisted), to outside testing company's.
  16. Yes Drew you are correct. Your previous post is just as accurate. Leaving it at that is a good idea also.
  17. Well Drew, things are a little different here, to be able to SELL hand spliced ropes within the EU you really should gain CE certification for those hand splices.
  18. Thump up. If you splice yourself and have had them tested then you should really know what is a good splice and what isn't. It's not difficult, a correctly made splice is just that.
  19. I still have a pair of boot covers I wore when I worked in OZ years ago, wore shorts so had to wear them. Like these. 3A01 Black, BOOT COVERS | Kakadu Traders Australia
  20. Hahahaha. Lame.
  21. 5-4-4-5-4-4-5
  22. No just a heads up that's all. I'm not saying anything, Sterling issued the warning.
  23. Ah yes sorry, forgot what it was called. I only mentioned it because the exact same thing happened to a friends saw.
  24. No the 020t has a slot on the crankshaft.
