  7. Hmm, some interesting info from Tendon, Adverse effects of car fluids on mountaineering ropes - TENDON But Samson recommend replacing section of damage or if you can't do that then retire the rope.
  8. You could try Fountain. (Brockley Combe Rd, Bristol BS48) which isn't that far away as long as its clean chip. Otherwise dump it in the sea, nobody will notice.
  9. I heard talk of it not being suitable as a lanyard adjuster as it wasn't designed as such, like the D4. Mind you, I tend to ignore those types.
  10. The Cinch hasn't been made for some time so any on the market are the last ones. I believe the D4 is already available.

  18. This works. Stitched eyes and shrink wrap to keep it all tight.

  22. It's simple as long as you make a note of the order the diaphragms go in. So it's a good idea to take pictures or video on your phone.
