  1. Great idea as an option. Single axle is easier to manhandle, double better for towing. Always make sure the jockey wheel lifts the front tyres off the ground
  2. Nice looking rig Squish. Is that chipper an old "chuck n duck" ?
  3. Rumination posted this over at the treehouse, what do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bbMWQM_1JQ I'm not convinced, well concieved and designed. I can see certain flaws though
  4. The sun is shining, a little windy but all told a nice day. Makes a pleasant change it being dry up here
  5. 11.00 am the sycamore tree is dead and i'm done. Happy days especially when I don't have to clean up the huge pile of crap I just created
  6. Was bored of floating around from job to job. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. 14 years later, i'm still at it! (not sure it was a good idea though
  7. Nice pics Leon, what kind of tree is it? Not one I know
  8. hahaha, I think it may be a little impractical for tree work, unless you can hover with no hands on the controls
  9. They look good, a little too much like hard work for me. I want one of these
  10. Premature for summer? It's about 9 months away by my reconing
  11. Thankfully this position is taken. Thanks for the pms guys n girls. Appreciated
  12. I went under it in a little tourist boat. No picture can give you the scale or magnitude of it. Nice pics Deva
  13. I have only worked with it twice. Both times I have been impressed, but it is not 2nd nature yet and I like keeping it simple
  14. Welcome guys!
  15. Looking good Carl. Lz looks tight!
  16. Worked on my own again today. It's not what I call fun, but 1 connifer and a couple of scots pines bit the dust
  17. Great pics top hopper!!!
  18. I notice that, very "english" pruning I know an ozzie who loves that kind of work lol
  19. Well looks like no one's ben up to much over the last couple of weeks! Well i've got a new groundie (yippee!!!!) starts a week on monday. No more working solo and begging and borrowing staff from other folks. What have you lot been up too?
  20. it's proving that the training was adequate. You can train and certify inhouse but the onus would you to prove that it is satisfactory. Who else other than NPTC offer arb forestry units at the moment?
  21. nice Andy. You been killing trees in the mud by anychance? lol
  22. I don't think that is realistic Lee. Proving that an employee was suitably trained without nationally recognised qualifications would be difficult and very time consuming. Especially if the poo hits the fan. It gets complex enough recording and unpdating any inhouse training as it is. By all means train them and get them assesed independantly, but taking the moral high ground could be costly IMHO
  23. NIce vid. Hope that camera does not stay idle too long!!!
  24. Thanks for the pic treesurfer. My lurcher is salivating just looking at them!!! lol
  25. Great vid. Nice work too MB!
