  1. it's where you draw the line. Sometimes i'll just shut up and do the job. Othertimes i'll walk away. It depends alot on species. P.S. You do have a very fine womanly arse Matt lol
  2. Lucky boy Matt! Good on you for making what is always a hard decision. Did you forward a copy of the letter to the T/O? Might be an idea so to catch the next lopper who quotes for the job
  3. nice work tim. I don't like reductions much. Hard and difficult climbing usually. The wallnut looks like it has been pruned before?
  4. Isnt that what you climb up to paint over all the spike marks? (trees look good by the way, nice work!)
  5. It's when the metal of the blades get as hard as you say that the risk of cracking/fracturing increases massively
  6. Do them yourself Lee. Get a decent mask and just fire up the workshop vac right next to the wheel if you are worried
  7. I have a set of there knives, no complaints at all
  8. As far as I know yes. any official dealer
  9. Take it back to a dealer Tim. Not good with respect to it's age
  10. same as, certificates
  11. I'm in the position of loosing my groundy in the next few weeks. As much as i hate it, i'm thinking about training someone up (again!), as opposed to hiring trained staff. What do others do; trained or untrained? and what do you see as the benifits of both
  12. Looks like i'm not replacing my card!!!!!! ouch!
  13. Are you wanting generic assesments, or something more specific?
  14. The forum must discriminate depending which side of the pond you live:p
  15. I feel for those in the flood zone. Saw on the news that people were bulk buying bottled water then selling it at £5 a bottle. Scum, they should have there stash liberated and handed out
  16. Rough with the smooth Tim. I had a nice lazy day off and the hangover of doom! At least I managed to catch up on some paperwork and go for a walk on the moors (which was complete bliss)
  17. It does have it's drawbacks, and it is not my best habit for sure
  18. No worries Gary, welcome!!!
  19. cheers Gary, i was getting hopefull
  20. Fabreeze works wonders on stinky boots!
  21. 6.5 ton wagon with 12in chipper, anything bigger would be restricting around my way. Valmet would be nice to carry the timber away or a nice MB trac, similar set up to Andy I guess.
  22. It's about time someone came up with a dedicated climbing boot. Fabric, soft rubber soles etc. There are no boots on the market IMO that are soft or flexible enough for what we need
  23. testing embedded pic
  24. nice idea lee. I think it would be a cool gesture
