  1. monday hedge work looking forward to tomorrow, more hedge work BUT it's not monday
  2. Here's some pics of Steve killing a corsican pine today in Harrogate. Good guy to work with
  3. It's friday night and the forum is flowing! Why arnt you all out on the town? I'm working tomorrow with teresagreen so i'm obliged to turn up half sober! What you excuse?
  4. Yes it's taught in the large tree module, what used to be 2 1/2 times guide bar. A boring cut is placed through the centre of the gob, then the tip of the saw is swung either way to cut the wood that would be unreachable by the smaller bar.
  5. http://www.hse.gov.uk/agriculture/pdf/arbnews0107.pdf Got some good indications on where they are driving the legislation towards
  6. Fish and chips
  7. Is that to compensate for the rough undercurrent of character Andy?
  8. hahaha. Nice Lee, jacket potatoes with crappy tinned tuna, baked beans and LOADS of cheese on tonights menu
  9. Ok day for me. Fixed the belt tensioner on the chipper, which I broke yesterday, and my new groundie started. He's a nice guy and eager to learn without being a pita about it. Fingers crossed he might work out
  10. here is my set up. I can clip the saw high to either caritool. The silky being slung low keeps it out of the way
  11. i have found little problem adapting to it. I have always used long lanyards so I can pass the saw to either side of me. The flexibility gained is worth the inconveniance
  12. I like my Natanokko (sp?) I'm limited to a few saws though, as the curved ones do not have the option of a lefthanded scabbard.
  13. I will put one on the wish list!
  14. What kind of money are they running at? Looks a handy tool
  15. Would be fantastic to sell as an optional extra on all chippers Ed
  16. I will be heading up to the north end of the lakes. My sister lives in Cockermouth so it is more to see her if I go
  17. I feel better after a couple of days camping and walking in the peaks. Even better I'm off climbing tomorrow and monday in the lakes or north yorkshire
  18. Great idea as an option. Single axle is easier to manhandle, double better for towing. Always make sure the jockey wheel lifts the front tyres off the ground
  19. Nice looking rig Squish. Is that chipper an old "chuck n duck" ?
  20. Rumination posted this over at the treehouse, what do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bbMWQM_1JQ I'm not convinced, well concieved and designed. I can see certain flaws though
  21. The sun is shining, a little windy but all told a nice day. Makes a pleasant change it being dry up here
  22. 11.00 am the sycamore tree is dead and i'm done. Happy days especially when I don't have to clean up the huge pile of crap I just created
  23. Was bored of floating around from job to job. It just seemed like a good idea at the time. 14 years later, i'm still at it! (not sure it was a good idea though
  24. Nice pics Leon, what kind of tree is it? Not one I know
  25. hahaha, I think it may be a little impractical for tree work, unless you can hover with no hands on the controls
