  5. I'll agree with the prussic. hopefully steve can posts some pics of what i was tuning up this afternoon
  6. The tiered system sounds reasonable in principal, but it would involve reassesment which, unless there is some incentive i.e. reduced insurance would only incur more cost to either an individual or biz.
  7. In that case good call
  8. Nice pics, watch out for those stubs, you are going to get hurt someday on one. Only leave them if you have a need for it
  9. Bloody fantastic
  10. I like the first one, but being awkward I love the font of the 2nd one to be used. Less formal and easier on the eye
  11. I use srt quite a bit, it is easier than footlocking imo, and for me quicker on a long ascent. I like to keep it simple and use the minimum kit
  12. They often come with an Hiab fitted, making a truley awesome combination
  13. Both great, but I aint wearing no palm tree!!!!!!!
  14. that still makes me laugh!!!!
  15. It's the same as a mog with a fixed chipper on the rear. Dedicated machine with pto. Regs don't say tractor they say AG machine if memory serves me right. Nice looking rig!!!!!!
  16. the opposite I think. Larger chips require larger hp as the amount of torque required to keep the blades moving will increase. If the anvil/blade seperation is adjustable then there should be some range of adjustment within the tollerance of the machine. Chippers were origonally designed for fuel production i.e. large chips, the smaller chip size is a bi-product of the streamlining and weight reduction of the mordern machine, which has a different goal to the origonals
  17. Nice to see you working hard as usual Matt
  18. haha I was waiting for that to be mentioned!!!!!
  19. Nice job, even better when the chip is sprayed all over the shop.
  20. Take the risk of trashing your rep. and the $$$$ or just bide your time,re apply and sugest staged retrenchment pruning. i.e. go hit em hard repeatedly over a long period of time
  21. Run with the permission only. Not worth pushing it unless there is real and researched ground to ignore it, i.e. an incorrectly served tpo
  22. Thanks for that Steve, good pics makes it all the easier to understand
  23. Other end of the rope I have fallen out with, I now ask for a 2nd line. I am always aware of landing a branch on the loop of rope, did it once, hurt like hell!!
  24. Never tried the M-technique, I use a sling with a pulley on one end then a krab on the other. It is retrievable if you remeber to rig it right
  25. I have a vacany in Huddersfield for a groundsman/part time climber. Wages and employment specifics are variable depending on experiance and qualifications. Pm me for further information
