  1. Takings were down a touch this christmas, only 2 holidays abroad this year
  2. Tough one. Pretty certain its not Yew even though it does look like it.
  3. You're already in it apparently Ian as you've bought raffle tickets
  4. Good post mark. I might let you join my clique
  5. You totally missed the point didn't you
  6. I had one and always felt it was an unfinished product, look forward to seeing an updated version
  7. Only a complete melon head would post this image on an open forum without getting a patent put on the idea first
  8. Removing overhanging limbs and inspecting. Some of them are lapsed pollards so I think there will be more work in the future which will be a nightmare
  9. Used all sorts of things from ground anchors to tree trunks with fiddle blocks for tensioning. By far the best and quickest way if available is a tracked chipper though. I wouldn't use any other vehicle unless as a very last resort..one slip of the clutch when tensioning could prove fatal.
  10. Oh just to add. No one on here except for you and the moderator would have known you received an infraction if you hadn't started this thread, by what wizadry do you happen to know who is and isn't also getting infractions?
  11. actually arbtrader is nothing to do with making profit. its about keeping classified adverts away from forum discussions. All you get when you post an ad for sale on arbtalk is a load of opinions on what you're selling, and the price you're selling it at from people have absolutely no real interest in buying it whatsoever. Arbtrader attracts a more serious buyer IMO. Much like the employment forum. People advertising don't generally want to read through 5 pages of tat, it puts people off advertising again.
  12. Why would you be informed? You have been here long enough to know the rules. Anyway, I have reinstated it as a one off on this occassion.
  13. snap...in fact I don't think I have had my 880 out for about 2 years now!
  14. can't say i've ever noticed the 460 being particularly bad for vibes
  15. One of these you mean?
  16. I remember having to wait 28 days for my dennis the menace fan club pack, was agony!
  17. Had this to contend with today
  18. Its all down to personal preference. You won't go wrong with either to be honest. I personally prefer the 460 as the balance with a 25" bar on it is just right for me when working aloft. Also seems to have more lower end grunt.
  19. x rings are good, but if its a choice between x rings or a block then def go for the block.
