  1. Never heard of this, anyone tried it? https://honeybros.com/Item/Argiope_Rope_Eyespliced_11.7mm
  2. Mr MEng has donated a pair of Revision sawfly glasses, thank you.
  3. Well done for making the switch. Are you using a decent cambium saver with pulley for maximum results?
  4. No, a friend gave them to me going on about 2 years ago now. Its taken me that long to decide to do it
  5. You're probably right, I should have gone for a medical. Still, I have a suspicion I will be 'invited' to one in a few months Not attempting to lose weight at all really, purely in it for the cardio. A bit of strength gain is always nice too
  6. Ply is heavy yes, but so are some of the alternatives. Company i work for use metal tank tracks, not sure if they have a proper name or not. They are just as heavy as ply boards though. A few years back I had a particularly muddy yard with some spots I was guaranteed to get stuck in. I bought a few sheets of ply, had them cut in half length ways and tacked carpet onto them. Worked quite well.
  7. tried running...and find it really boring. The obvious answer is to join a running club. This is though I always see the local club out running and to be honest they look like a bunch of bell ends, it puts me off
  8. Would be nice if some of my fellow tree guys were doing it also for moral support
  9. hmmm works for me. try a different browser maybe
  10. It was cool, maybe slightly overdone in places if im honest. What software you using?
  11. So whoever tells you that you need to be fit to do treework, i'm here to tell you its a complete lie! I am ridiculously unfit, so for the new year have decided to do something about it and am taking on the insanity workout challenge. For those not familiar with it heres a brief outline first months entails a 40 minute workout session 6 days a week, followed by 1 week of 'recovery' training, which in itself is challenging. second month entails a 1 hour session 6 days a week followed by 1 week recovery training. Theory being at the end of the 60 days you are about as fit as can be. So heres how its going for me. Day 1 - fit test. Selection of 7 exercises, do as many as you can within 1 minute. This is preceded by a warm up. I got to the 4th exercise before I collapsed in a heap on the floor and 'recovered' for about 10 minutes, followed by a trip to the toilet where I hurled my guts up Day 2 - I made it to the end of the warm up....that was it. Day 3,4,5 - I did naff all as my calves felt like rocks Day 6(today), I purchased a heart rate monitor to make sure I didn't overdo it. Kept myself to a maximum of 170. Made it through the warm up and got about 10 minutes into the actual workout itself. So I am making some progress but all in all a patheticly embarrassing effort that i thought i would share. Current plan is to carry on for a month to get into good enough shape to start the workout over from scratch. Will keep you posted https://www.beachbody.co.uk/product/fitness-training/insanity-workout.do?code=SEMB_SAN_GOOGLE_UK&utm_campaign=UK|Google_Brand_Insanity_Alpha&utm_term=insanity%22%20workout&gclid=CM2Kzb-lkcoCFcjnwgodFYYGWg

  15. Looked into them myself a few years back but wasn't that confident the mechanism would hold up for that long
  16. Sounds like more hassle than its worth to me
  17. You're allowed to but I haven't cleared international postage with the sponsors Ted. I'm sure most of them would be happy to post items if you offered to pay postage though.
  18. My statements are the same, don't show the customers details for cheque payments. Thankfully I only receive 2 or 3 of these antiquated things a year these days!
  19. means you can still manage your business facebook accounts if you just wanted to maintain a business presence
  20. Do what I did. Create a new Facebook account with zero friends, then make that user an admin on your pages, then deactivate your main account
  21. Hardly been on it at all myself since just before christmas, haven't had the time for it, and don't miss it either
