  1. it is a little heavy and cumbersome if compared to something like the sequioa, but in the grand scheme of things its pretty light.
  2. i'm no longer in the firewood game, but after several years of processing with chainsaw and axe i splashed out on a hakki pilke 1x37. Absolutely its worth it. You'll do 3-4 times as much work and not even break a sweat. The hakki pile is the only machine I have had experience with but as far as deal support goes, theres really not much to go wrong with it. Belts need changing every so often but they are a standard part.

glad they did away with that futuristic design they adopted about 10 years ago
  4. I nearly bought one. Only thing really that put me off it was the waist adjustment. Its one of the ones where you step into it and then pull the waist band from both ends to tighten, unlike the normal treemotion which has a buckle. Other than that looks a nice harness.
  5. Probably one of the most life like ones i've seen, good job
  6. Just a reminder, ticket sales close at 4pm this Friday. https://thechildrenstrust.digitickets.co.uk/event/1227983?catID=4733
  7. I've always found choosing the option to register as a new customer generally gets you put through to someone literate.
  8. Why not go limited? Sole trader means just that doesn't it?
  9. I watched a couple the other day also, will watch the rest when I find time. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Maybe, but he will likely prefer his prospective customers think that his business has all in house staff and doesnt rely on subbies to get jobs done.
  11. How much work do you get from the company? If it were me and I was getting a lot of work for them i'd just give it them for free. If its just the odd day here and there, I don't think the £100 mentioned is far out of the way
  12. I think most people would too, but not all.
  13. What would the postage situation be Justin? It would be an awesome resource to add to your site and even if postage on 1 screw puts people off using it I think it would still draw traffic in, worth the effort I reckon
  14. Try to go for minimum 10" and bung a ratchet strap around it regardless of wood type
  15. probably not at the apf, maybe the aa show
  16. I have used poplar and it works well, and added bonus its easier to source. I need 36" rings for my targets though which is a little more difficult. Oak also works well
  17. It really is quite sad that anyone would have nothing better to do than complain about something like this. Whats the world coming to!
  18. Thats a fair whack. Could prove to be worth it though. Art stuff is pretty bomb proof and the ability to change the cam means you can get a good few years out of these if they are treated well. Wonder how well the pin/lock will fare when it gets a bit of grime and sap in there.
