  1. No advice i'm afraid. Curious though, does your wife realize that you will soon become bored in the garage and the next phase will be bolting holds all the way to the top of the chimney stack?
  2. Sod the bravado, i'd far rather be sat at home in the dry a little worse off. I'd like to say its because of my age, but I guess i've always been a bit of a wuss really
  3. Nice work. Hope you put that fire to good use at lunchtime
  4. seems a decent length. Not overly keen on the shock absorber element though
  5. I actually have just the thing for that which I found when i was cleaning my workshop over christmas. Would rather have a longer lanyard but that will do in the meantime.
  6. doesn't need to be much longer but most of the ones I see are just a few inches too short.
  7. Because i'm lazy. My lanyard attaches at the back of me which takes away a fair bit of the reach for starters, and often I will cross the lanyard across my front to cut to the left because the saw is already in my right hand and i'm too lazy to drop it, move it round my back, and swap hands.
  8. never found a bungee one long enough, and I hate those rings..generally cut them off
  9. Has anyone used one of these? I like the idea but wondering if perhaps 2.2m is a little too long. I find it hard finding a lanyard which is long enough though. Just replaced mine and the new one is far too short. ReeCoil - Full Reach Chainsaw Lanyard - Lanyards - Ropes

  14. Reducing a largish oak tree over a garage today, peeing it down so no fun at all. Just to make things better the wind just got up. When it blew my silky out my hand I decided it was time to give it a miss
