  1. Any ideas what caused this? Freshly cut wound which obviously has something to do with it
  2. Hate football with a passion, but even i'm rooting for them. my son gives me regular updates. Sad thing is, no doubt all their best players will be bought by the richer clubs come end of season.
  3. Not in my opinion, but I never got on with those anyway. They were just the wrong shape for my feet. I know many others rated them highly though
  4. You won't regret buying these, they are fantastic boots
  5. Thats about as much as there is to it to be honest. Always lots of posts on here looking for workers. Keep your eyes peeled. Make yourself available....and be reliable!
  6. Think you answered your own question with the title of this thread
  7. Hope to see you there on one of the days
  8. As a freelance climber, every first day with a new company is like a competency exam. Just relax, forget they are there and do your thing. Worrying about it will only work against you. Don't go trying to change anything to please them, just be yourself.
  9. That saws a pleasure to use. Looking forward to using mine more now spring is here
  10. That outer ring on the first image coupled with the straight trunk does look suspiciously like Turkey Oak. A close up of the bark would help
  11. With that in mind we should really be sterilising our chainsaws and handsaws between each tree
  12. you'll never get in deep enough on any decent sized tree to see visible signs of decay with an increment borer, unless its that bad that the decay goes right to the outer part of the trunk. But thats not entirely the point as I understand it. The increment borer is used hand in hand with a fractometer to test the strength of the core sample...and if you thought the borer was expensive!! Someone correct me if im wrong on that please
  13. How about you post what you've already written and maybe we can steer you in the right direction to fill in the blanks
  14. As I suspected, just googled the company name where he was he's from and they are Manchester based
  15. They are getting cleverer it seems. I rarely pick up my phone to anyone these days if I don't recognize the number, but I just had an incoming call from a number with a local area code so I answered it. Was a PPI call as usual. Is there by chance a company local to me offering this or are they now routing all their calls through a local exchange?
  16. Check out the sponsors on here. They all offer competitive pricing. Best chance for a deal will be finding offers on individual pieces here and there. You are doing the right thing going for basic though. Buy extra stuff as you can afford it.
  17. Thank god for that, this has been doing my head right in.
  18. Looks kinda similar to my book shelf. I've browsed some and read none
