  1. Just got back. Saw a few old friends which was nice, generally though the tree side of the event seemed quite quiet this year in comparison to previous years
  2. Looks pretty smart with the scorched top, well done
  3. I personally find using long reach hedgecutters very unnatural. They are good for long reach(hence the name) but for fine topiary work I like to have my hands directly beneath the handles. I wouldn't advice long reach as your sole machine.
  4. Great idea Justin, can't see how it can possibly be feasible to do but i'm sure you have thought about everything and found a way as usual!
  5. Yes it does. I never throw anything in the back though so it's not a problem. I literally carry my climbing gear and saws
  6. Also found these during my search which look quite cool https://www.4x4at.com/nissan-navara-np300-2016-on-swing-case-tool-storage-box-left-side
  7. Does look smoother than faffing about getting it on the roof doesn't it.
  8. Panic over, found it https://www.4x4at.com/truck-rack-universal-ladder-rack-for-nissan-navara-d40
  9. A couple weeks ago I came across a ladder rack on google and now im unable to find it again. It is basically a molded shroud that sits on the roof at the back of the cab. The ladder lays against this, with the bottom of the ladder sitting in the back of the pick up and then is strapped down to the cargo fittings. Does anyone know what i'm talking about from that description, if to what are they called please? A link would be lovely. Thanks!
  10. I always enjoy watching your videos Ben even if I don't always comment. Keep them coming mate
  11. What mechanical devices are you thinking about? Zigzag for example won't function very well at all on 13mm. Unless you are particularly worried about your grip strength id go for 11.7 mm. Avoid 1.7mm, pretty sure that would kill you
  12. Body position is fine. I have no problem keeping an upright position, nor do I have any problems with redirects. Its all pretty straight forward after a few climbs.
  13. hard days work with that little machine. You did a cracking job with the finish though.
  14. Thanks for sharing David, pity you didn't have a nicer day for it! Who was there?
  15. customers today didn't bring out a single cup of tea, we were absolutely soaked. Disgusting really
  16. Look interesting but the price is a non starter. Plus I could never use them on prunes, would leave twice the amount of wounds as regular spikes
  17. Absolute hideous day. Took down a biggish sycamore, didn't stop raining all day. Was alright for the boss grinding with his remote unit
  18. Pretty tall Oak there John! I've been slumming it today, felled a small laurel hedge, couple small cherry trees and a couple cypress. Just beat the thunder storm
