  1. I’d like to think of something fresh for next year, something that involves less admin work preferably, and less scrounging from sponsors, something I dreaded doing every time
  2. Hi, sorry there will be no raffle this year. The Childrens trust turned it into a massive headache last year, and on top of that it really wasn;t as successful as previous years. I know running it late impacted that, but also the amount of replies to this thread shows its probably run its course unfortunately. I was going to treat myself to a christmas entirely to myself for the first time in 10 years, unfortunately I have just plunged head first into a massive project that has claimed all my spare time over christmas!!! Keep an eye out in the new year for an exciting new feature
  3. Another vote here for an art rope guide, regardless of what ddrt system/device you use, a rope guide will make it better
  4. Just saw this in tescos amongst the Christmas novelties. No idea how good it is but thought I’d share here
  5. People moaned about the 461 replacing the 460 but it turned out to be just as an impressive saw as its predecessor. I don't see why the 462 shouldn't be great also. Alas I doubt I will get to own one
  6. i doubt anyone else in the whole world noticed a chainsaw in that photo Paul. Good spot
  7. fine here, can you send me a screenshot of what you;re seeing please, and what browser?
  8. Whilst step cutting cord wood is more or less 100% dependable if done correctly, taking the end out of branches certainly isn't. If you don't want to cut and hold them a silky is the obvious answer. Theres various other techniques though that you will learn over time. For instance doing a top cut slowly and letting the branch peel down so you can pull it off and drop it is one, albeit species dependent
  9. I’m interest rob, just too busy to do anything about it
  10. Sacked it in early today, stupid weather to be climbing in
  11. Like driving on an ice rink, and its not just in the snow either. Even wet days it feels like its going to skid out at relatively low speeds
  12. As per title. I have all terrains on currently and they are like a death trap in this weather, having serious handling problems. Seems a lot of expense to change them over for a few months but if we get much more of this weather I will have to seriously consider it. Anyone here changed over for the winter?
  13. Kettlebells are awesome. I have a set which I don't use anywhere near enough but I plan to soon. Such an easy way to work out, and cheap too. I recommend 'Enter the kettelbell' by Pavel for anyone starting out
  14. Can’t help you,but I can tell you fletcher stewarts used to be the importer, night be worth a phone call in case they have an old manual kicking around
  15. that basically rules out any professional saw in a half decent power band i'm afraid
  16. Did pics of the hinge ever emerge?
