  1. What’s this little lock sign for @shavey? its one slight annoyance with this saw, how far the stop button sits in the recess, a bit fiddly to get out; that’s when I noticed the lock symbol
  2. Absolutely the chain will make all the difference. Saw could also need a slight tune though maybe
  3. Pretty much the same surely, but then why the need when you can just put in a static or dynamic redirect?
  4. Can be easily mistaken for oak, did it myself once. spits furiously, wouldn’t recommend it for an open fire. on the plus side burns down to nothing leaving very little ash
  5. Bloody things get more attention than I do!!
  6. As a freelancer I don't get to choose job specs. I can choose my clients though and tend to only work for reputable firms. Even then though I will carry out works I don't necessarily agree with from time to time. We are a service industry though at the end of the day, and whilst we might like to think we are there for the benefit of trees, in reality we are there to help the public live with the trees. I get zero satisfaction from reductions these days. I enjoy a nice crown thin and deadwood, but mostly i just like removals.
  7. I would imagine they are told specifically not to engage with residents. Standard in any local authority work to not engage with the pubic, at least not in any way such as to give them your 'opinion' of the work being carried out. I got caught with this a long time ago, discussing a tree on council land with a member of the public, mentioned it probably should be removed....next thing they are on the phone to the council telling them the tree surgeon told them this and that, blah blah.
  8. I can't even work out why it would have been left like that??
  9. I bet most people here are familiar with this photo, never seen this video though
  10. Perhaps they want to keep it under wraps
  11. Give it time, it can take up t0 48 hours to propogate for everyone unfortunately. In most cases it propogates within a couple hours. I made the changes at midnight in the hope not many people would even notice the change.
  12. Over night we moved the forums to a new server. Keen to hear from the members who were complaining about the speed of the site a few weeks back, is it performing better for you now? its lightning fast my end, so hopefully it will be for everyone else also.
  13. Its amazing they haven't changed their stance on the whole project with the amount of uproar thats gone on.
  14. I’d say it’s considerably bigger, not just a little. What’s the power difference?
