  1. Always fancied marine, way too much commitment though
  2. Couple of indoor rabbits the girlfriend wanted. They are ok, the white one I.S quite a character She even waits by the window for us to get home
  3. I’m of the opinion that you should turn up with your own rigging gear as a subbies. I would rather than anyway as I want to use what I want to use
  4. Or just get a dolmar! Not sure I’d pay 700 for a saw that size
  5. Back in track with a cedar full. Hate felling softwood stoggles as they have a tendency to stick and then change course at the last minute if not done right. hinge left slightly thicker one side to make sure it didn’t skew towards the house
  6. 12 for me. I’m sure it performs better on a 10 but as I rarely use it for anything over 5” I’d rather stick with the 12 and have slightly more reach
  7. Not sure if this is some odd variety of spruce or if it’s jist a regular old Norway spruce that’s grown weird. Had a particularly fruity aroma to the wood
  8. Likewise. If someone damages or breaks my stuff they get billed the full price of a brand new replacement
  9. I spoke to a lot of expats when I was there who said that the locals do everything they can to make it hard for brits running businesses over there, perhaps a ploy to stop more brits emigrating and setting up competition for them though
  10. decent sized sycamore there mate, good job
  11. They do look smart and I’d like to try a pair on sometime. It would take a lot for me to part with my carbon geckos thohfh to be honest

  14. This month ForestAndArb.com are giving away a pair of HAIX Protector Pro Chainsaw boots to one lucky Arbtalk member. To enter all you need to do is submit a review of any piece of equipment, clothing, or other arb related item you like to the new review section right here at Arbtalk. Arborist Reviews From our Sponsor: Innovation and progression is a wonderful and needed natural phenomenon, but we also have a well-known saying “if it’s no broken don’t fix it”. The HAIX Protector pro chainsaw boots have lived up to that saying for over Twenty years and have proven themselves time and time again. Used by both climbers and ground staff the Protector pro has been the foundation boot for many companies, purely because they do exactly what they say. Class 1 chainsaw protection, steel toe cap and a protective mid sole to prevent puncture from sharp objects, waterproof leather and a GORE-TEX membrane. The HAIX Protector pro has always been a professional boot, ready to stand up to the demands of day to day working conditions. Available in sizes 37 – 49. In addition to the HAIX boots, ForestAndArb have also thrown in a runners up prize of KitDRY 2 socks filled with silca gel. Drop them into your wet boots and they absorb all the moisture, then dry them out on a radiator or in a microwave or oven. Just like stuffing your boots with newspaper but reusable! The KitDRY Dryer quickly absorbs moisture from your boots/kit which improves your comfort, prolongs their life and reduces the likelihood of mildew forming. New to writing reviews? 16. Some much appreciated help with the drag today
  17. Thing is the younger generation are being attracted to other social media sources other than facebook, and I expect the generation after that will be using yet another different one. Facebook isn't the be all and end all. Personally I think it should be used to share stuff from your own website, not using as a sole replacement for one.
  18. I had a treecore. It was ok but nothing special. And the bridge used to twist round which really got annoying after a while
  19. Those new tribe harnesses have always looked nice to me
  20. Something more official http://www.stihl.co.uk/the-world-first-stihl-injection-electronically-controlled-fuel-injection.aspx
  21. Lovely work kev. You could of throwlined it though surely?
  22. I think that would be a bit short sighted Stefan
