I used to have a bizarre ritual years ago.

I'd stand at one end of the kitchen and throw a teabag into a mug on the work surface at the other end.

This could take many efforts, but I could not leave for work until I had achieved it otherwise "bad things" would happen.

It really worked! until the day I did it first time and later that day punched a hole in the roof of a house with a branch.

I carry a small bag of iron pyrite (fools gold) in my first aid pouch on my harness,i swear by it,maybe im just superstitious but i read somewhere its good luck to carry it for people with dangerous jobs.

The one time i was using the rescue harness as my own was getting lolered i got a kiss from a silky, nowt major just a little slash-bled like a bastard though and ive been lucky enough not to have any accidents since.

Some may say this is bollocks etc but it makes me feel a little better knowing its back there.

Any of you carry any good luck charms or have any superstitious rituals?

I carry a large bag of real gold on my harness.

It slows me down a bit, but reminds me how lucky I am.

That's ridiculous Mick.

You've only got so much luck.

Why waste it on something that doesn't matter?

I hope you learnt from it.
