Best Bank?

the bank is a business simple, if you arent making them money and are too risky then they will ditch you, the last few years have been the willy wonka golden ticket of borrowing, i am glad they arent throwing money at us anymore, i have been out of overdraft for nearly 3 years, and i aint going back, it is a false cushion that i was into upto my nuts as they say. Matt if you are running a business with 3k of wages a week and your turn over and profit isnt impressing them then take this as a sign mate,

They are all rubbish. I'm with HBOS, they havent been too bad but the charges just keep going up.

I was with Alliance & Leicester, I can honestly say that was the worst banking experience of my life.

Agree Peter, i have just moved to HSBC from A+L commercial, I called them up about a month ago when we thought the posties were going on strike and asked if there was any emergancy plans for paying cheques in only to be told "it's not our fault so NO" so i though with that attitude it was time for a move.

I'm with HSBC moved from lloydstsb because they took no tax payers money (shows they are trying to be a business), but would reccomend them for other reasons like little personal touches as been said before in thread I have no overdraft never wanted one so cant comment on these charges they implement but always good business to keep a good float.

Hi All..

Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on the best bank for business banking?

I'm looking to open a new business account, but am struggling to see any defined differences between the banks.

I'm currently with Bank Of Scotland but thier service over the last year has dramatically declined and with a letter from them last week stating that they are reducing overdrafts and upping rates I've decided to make a change.

Any thoughts most welcome, particularly from those with limited companies.

Cheers,

Matt

Dont get me started with the bank of scotland, been having probs with them but sorted now, :cursing::cursing::thumbdown::thumbdown:

Bump.

Recently opened a business account with Santander. They've just lost 250 notes on a transfer to another banks account. Is this a symptom of things to come?

Anyone else having nightmares with Santander? If they don't resolve this quickly I'm banging out and trying somewhere else.
