Faded climbing helmet?

I have a 3 month old climbing helmet that has badly faded! I'm abit worried about the plastic and generally the overall quality, do I have a basis for return/exchange?

 

When new in may, the orange sticker was just about visible.

Kask? Mine did the same plus it stank. Ditched it and went back to Petzl. Didn't even bother trying to return it.

I think the possible UV degredation of the plastic is of more concern than how cool you look?

Good point, but is it even possible to these helmets could be degraded in such a short period and if they can, wouldn't the manufacturers be aware of it?

 

I don't profess to understand the manufacturing process, but imagine colour is only to do with dyes, not the structural integrity of 'plastic'. Either way, personally I'd be going back to the supplier and asking questions to resolve some doubts.

Go with your instinct - if you are concerned return it and get a different one. Don't mes about when it comes to helmet, trousers and boots in my opinion.

Slightly off topic but not entirely ....Could it be a fake ? Saw " fake Briton " the other day testing bike helmets . To the untrained eye the pair looked identical . During the test the fake smashed to bits on the first impact and could not continue with the test . The genuine one passed all 4 impact tests . Just a thought .
