To be honest I was goin to write a follow up piece..

some years back while reading about Alerdyce's ambition to become England Boss I had something of a premonition.,.

 

shortly after reading the piece and ruminating on the subject, an image of Allardyce dressed in purple robes imprinted itself into my consciousness..

I took that to mean he'd one day become England boss..
