Edit: Pat Condell

This guy needs some self-awareness.

Sure, there are plenty of left-leaning people who can't abide hearing alternative points of view, who exaggerate, and who can't allow for nuances in complex situations.  But this isn't a left-wing phenomenon: bigotry can be heard from certain preachers for any political stand-point.  This guy typifies this.

Also, "progressives" has a particular meaning, I think he means "liberals" or "politically correct" or something like that, but in this context "progressives" is just wrong.  He's using it, wholly inaccurately, like a term of abuse.  He might as well say "poofters".

When the scummy sun would hack into DEAD soldiers voicemails to publish their names 1st to sell papers I highly doubt they would be against a bit of photoshopping to sell papers!

Think about that, hacking into a DEAD persons voicemail to profit!

You really should step back and take a look at yourself.

There is no shadow cast from the kid, strange that, does the physical sun work different in France?

I take it you don’t have kids?

If I was on a beech in a state of emergency with armed guards patrolling then I would be at the side of my kids the whole time!

Im not disputing there was a state of emergency but again your lack of concentration to understand is pathetic so again your missing the point.

What do do you think the public reaction would be to a high terror alert and state of emergency ..... oh I know let’s go to the beech where we are vulnerable to an attack with nowhere for cover!

Those 3 universities did really well with you.

BEACH!

Well trolled! A bit rich coming from the biggest master baker on here.

Lucky shot by the photographer I guess, just happened be on a beach where there was a lone child and four soldiers walked past...

Bloody lucky break for the cameraman I'd say....  He even got the shadow of a Jihadi gunman hiding in the bushes

I don't think those images are photoshopped, but I'm not sure what point is being made by posting them (repeatedly).  The French government declared a state of emergency and deployed their soldiers in their towns (and beaches, apparently) - so what?

Some people were saying we should accept more asylum seekers into the UK. I used the photos to demonstrate that French society is starting to look a bit rubbish due to the number of third world migrants they had.... Some people here then said the photos were photoshopped (I'm glad you agree they aren't).

I know I'll be called a "racist" for saying this. However I don't want to live in a society where families on a beach need to be protected by armed soldiers.....

No wonder people are getting sick of mass immigration into Europe. I bet no government politicians or officials live in Lisdoonvarna:

'Locals in Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare, who attended a public meeting this week, have voted overwhelmingly to reject Government plans to accommodate 115 asylum seekers in the town.'

According to Independent.ie the town has a population of 300.

'He said the 115 asylum seekers would increase the 300-strong population of Lisdoonvarna by 38pc'

Madness.

Gents, to comment on the leftist or conservative political views.

In my opinion the names do not matter so much as the opportunist charismatic leaders who choose exploit political opportunity to gain power.

So when a nation is in the grip of right wing ruling parties, with perhaps some eletist excesses, there is the opportunity to offer communist type ideas as the salvation for the masses.

When a country gets too left wing, and the ruling Elite repeatedly ignore their voters or are failing economically, more right wing ideas can take root.

The bulk of the voting population are easily, too easily fooled or beguiled by the apparent appeal of fresh new ideas, oh, that and free money, for their tribe.

But, all in all, it effectively means the political posture of a nation tends to be like a massive slow moving pendulum, which once in motion, takes a long time to move, from left to right and back to the left, only briefly, on the way past, occupying the middle ground.

And the UK has went left/liberal as far as it, and the voting population, can be pushed and is now currently and  slowly but inexorably moving back towards the centre and heading on out towards the right.

Which swing, in time will be "corrected"

I hope you're correct Marcus. I'm almost as afraid of the far left as I am the far right.

It would really help a lot if we could really listen and take on board what we are actually saying to one another. This habit of expressing people's views for them and putting them in a purely left or right box is a real road to nowhere.

I realise it makes for fun reading, but it it so flipin' frustrating.
