I think you mean theres a lot of scientists who now think the Universe didn't have a cause.. I'm of the same opinion myself..

 

Thats not to say it was created by an outside cause though is it?..   its cause is contained within itself...

Reading about Trump having to make a choice on the Iran nuclear deal.
does he....

1. Continue with the deal, allowing the Iranian regime to grow stronger, and effectively killing off the recent protest movement until the sunset clause kicks in and Iran is basically free to produce nuclear warheads in 2025.

Or

2. Walk away from the deal now and re-impose sanctions, thereby weakening the regime and empowering the protest movement, maybe leading to regime change, which would alienate him (even more) from the European nations who are now up to their greedy necks in Iranian trade deals.
Also it would mean that Iran would probably start enriching uranium immediately (which they are probably doing anyway)
not to mention the risk of Israel launching a pre-emptive strike.

Not much of a choice..

Another of your pet concerns Timon..

 

I have a grand project in mind Timon, that one day we and Iran ally ourselves against the extremists of Sunni Islam..  We need to keep them on board..  Iran isn't the enemy you think they are..  Much like america with republicans and democrats, Iran is riven by the forces that animate american politics..   The Democrats in their country will one day rule the roost, much of their population is under thirty, they won't be held back forever..  strategic patience is needed, not revolution...
