See... a helpful discussion on a third runway, insightful.

"Calm down. Lunacy. Mild insults"... I summed up your post in 5 words. What was the point in you posting a news story if you are unable to offer a single thought on it?

I forget.. Yes, back to your 'Daily Starmer' reports of what the Labour party are doing. Bring something fresh to the discussion and people might... might, well, discuss.

😂😂Are you feeling ok ?

Protesters will gather outside court of appeal in support of activists, who say judges defied decades of precedent

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. Personally I believe those prepared to sacrifice their freedom to push awareness of the climate/biodiversity crises are some of the heroes of our time. All those convicted were prepared to go to prison but the lengths of the sentences were surprising and unprecedented given not just the human rights issues but also the horrendous state of UK prison overcrowding/ costs to taxpayer of imprisonment.

Agreed. Though I'm not sure how much hope there is, in light of today's announcements by Reeves and co. They don't seem to care much more than the previous crooks about the climate and biodiversity crises.

There are some glimmers of light.

Quickly dimmed however

Im no arguing for or against a third runway but something I read made sense. Part of the issue is that planes are stacked up circling around waiting for landing clearance, burning fuel therefore dropping crap on the people below. A third runway would alleviate that hence it may not be a bad idea. Thats if the plane stacking is a genuine problem.

And dimmed again-

Welsh farmers banned from disposing of waste sheep dip on their land over river pollution fears

It batters my head they've been spraying it everywhere all this time. A long overdue change although I don't know how long it will take to fully implement. Or how long it will take for all the residual chemicals to leach out of the ground. FFS again.

Good news on the neonics though, grab it where you can I suppose...

Interesting.

Welsh gov have designated all of Wales a nitrate vulnerable zone. Farmers will have to account for all the N spread on the land with extra regs relating to application before rain and storage. It should already be fully  implemented but kickback from the farmers has delayed it again and again.

I can see that happening. I was just reading that it will cost around £14 billion and take 10 years. There must be a lot of property to purchase and flatten.
