Fully agree Eggs, proper pricks and in bad taste, however, is it now illegal to make a comment or do anything in bad taste?

That isn't for me to judge. I guess it depends what the police/cps try to hit them with, if anything. From bits on the news, internet it sounds like it could be a public order offence.

I wonder if they will get punished more than the £50 fine handed out to the vile extremists who burnt poppy wreaths on Remembrance Day!

Brilliant idea! What and cause another riot like Brixton in the early 80's? Do you ever think things through before you come up with these bright ideas?

That's a bit defeatist Eggs, especially coming from you.

I think Vesp has a valid point.

Knife crime in London is mainly black on black. It would be pointless for the stop and search response not to reflect this.

You can't namby-pamby around worrying about people kicking off about it. That's Sadiq Khan kind of thinking.

It's a fair point! It might be a bit defeatist mate. I, like you won't have to worry if it kicks off in London, which it has done before because black youth have been/felt harassed. It won't be my car getting trashed, my work van getting torched,  my shop being looted, my property being burnt out. Some perspective is needed here. These kids, (mainly) that are stabbing each other are a small minority. Sending the police in heavy handed may work, (if we had enough left to keep up the pace long enough), but I wouldn't want to be about when it reaches boiling point.

I don't know. I was dragged up to believe two wrongs don't make a right. I have no time for extremist, from both/all sides. We all know that those burning wreaths and those burning effigies of Grenfell tower all low life's, don't we?

It's really interesting to read/learn about experiences of minorities and the self fulfilling prophecies caused by heavy handed policies. Not targeting any one group, as Mr Eggs has suggested, would ultimately be better.

Encourage integration in societies and also increase police funding for all aspects of their work and we would all benefit.

If someone wants to burn a flag then let em, someone wants to burn a bunch of poppies let em, if someone wants to burn an effigy of greenfill tower then so what..

as it happens I was sick of the over saturation of greenfill tower reports two days in..   I'm sick of it every time its mentioned..   I don't care about the whole story surrounding it.   I'm glad someone burned an effigy..  not that I'm glad anyone was injured in the actual event but the fkin over reporting..

Reminds me of the Liverpool disaster at Sheffield..  talk about milking a disaster for all its worth..

Remember, our soldiers fought so we could say what we wanted when we wanted to say it..  the consequences of what we say should be the social stigma it engenders, not fkin policemen turning up and making dumb arrests or corrupt charges.. Tommy Robinson was such a victim.  the bent low life PC judiciary..

This is what we fought against, this is what we should fight to defeat...     cowardice and corruption..

As to stop and search, a word springs to mind.. cowardice..  the failure to act on account of the fear of the consequences..

The left and the right are being infused with this cowardice daily..  if stop and search saves lives, then stop an search it is..  it works and has been proved to work..  bring it on and damn the consequences..

You’re always banging on about cowardice.

Yet you stay anonymous on here.

Yea like you leaving Britain to move to France..  you'd rather give up and run away as opposed to stay and face the country and all it throws at you head on...

when the shit hits the fan I'll be here, where I belong..  I wont be running nowhere with or without a nickname on an internet forum..
