: Starmer rebrands unpopular scheme as convenience tool after backlash

Convenience, and trying to save time, will be the death of us.

It'll probably be the same kind of "time-saving" that we have to endure when fcking around with stupid fcking apps when trying to park. Progress. Simple coins were soooo inconvenient.

Any ex-service personnel got this yet?

Offered it turned it down, the original plastic versions were offered ages ago, if I’m not mistaken during the previous administration.

You dodged a bullet there then. That numpty wasn't so lucky, reckons it was pushed onto his phone without his knowledge or consent. He's now going to be controlled by The Globalist Cabal.

Have you seen the shit about Starmer saying you will be charged £85 every time you are asked for this ID and don’t produce it?

Good luck with that one nonce friend.

I am against the idea of mandatory ID cards. I also think Starmer is a wanker. I haven't heard about proposed fines. Not that they matter, because I don't know anyone who likes the idea of a govenment ID.

Bollocks to that idea. It's one thing not being able to park somewhere because a crappy app crashes, or you don't have mobile signal, quite another to be charged £85 for the pleasure.

My venerable uncle doesn't even own a bloody smartphone, like a lot of the older generation. I wonder what Kier has planned for them.

how is that relevant? Germany was also fighting Russia, would need to exand the scale, us Brits alone didn't do the whole 7.5m Germans

I was making the point that a chart showing number of dead on each side in a war does not in fact tell the whole story.

I had a bit of a look into the digital ID thing and I think its pointless and I wont be going for it but I didnt see anything about being charged £85 for not producing it? Where did you read about that?
