It’s not whinging it’s only ever stone cold facts and statistics that  I post. It should be headline news night after night until it’s stopped unfortunately if you say anything the accusations as has been said a couple of posts ago are thrown around big time. 30000 plus unvetted mainly males of a certain age illegally crossing our border year after year that  we as taxpayers are then paying for is pure madness.
Maybe a few more should be vocal about it rather than treating it as a joke or claiming those who have the balls to call it for what it is are just whinging.
Yourself for example if you think it’s an issue say so, imo it long since became a bit more than a “ problem “

I do believe life should exist elsewhere in the universe. Likely a whole array of life, including life forms mankind couldn't even conceptualise let alone classify in our supremely narrow and limited "knowledge" of existence.

I can also imagine a civilisation evolving millions of light years away from earth to such a degree that the universe is literally their oyster. With technology that is so far advanced we haven't even dreamed of it, and most likely we will be another extinct earth species long before we could ever equal their achievements.

I do struggle though when it comes to why, if they do exist, they would repeatedly visit the same place for decades on end studying such inferior species as ours whilst trying, yet failing spectacularly to remain unknown.

Them having anything more than a fleeting glance at our planet is what's unbelievable.

The same reason BBC wildlife photographers (or others) go and sit in the middle of a midge-infested bog for weeks or months at a time to get yet another photo of an osprey (or an otter, or an ocelot...) to add to our collection.

I'm not saying they have or haven't "made contact", or are quietly observing from a distance without contact, personally I think this current episode is US military tech being experimented with; but it is entirely plausible that alien species would want to just come and watch us because we are an inherently entertaining species.

The same reason I hiked into the middle of the rainforest in Costa Rica to watch tapirs... howler monkeys... army ants... wild chocolate trees... hermit crabs...

Because it just blows my tiny mind, man...

I reckon it would inconceivable for there not to be other life out there (screws up the religious types though with a belief of only life on this planet). Billions of stars, 50x more planets, of a billion years and yet only 1 planet is exactly right for life to form? Nah.

Problem is the billions of years part, suppose an advanced alien race developed, might have been a million years ago - long enough for them to develop, explore space, get wiped out well before we started making stone axes. Likewise we might be done for by the time the next local one develops. Then there is the billions of stars of trillions and trillions of miles of space, taking many many years to get here, probably not happening (Start of their mission - 'hey look there is a planet over there where we think in 100,000 years intelligent life will be developed... lets start a mission now and when we get there we can make contact')

Life is out there but not sure we are being visited by aliens. Orbs or drones?

Why not? by the time you add in the period for earth to become habitable and life to evolve humans the odds get much longer. Given also that the earth will be too hot for most life within a billion years we're only a blip in time.

Just a little update on the numbers today, that’s over 35000 illegals this year so far,  at according to government figures around £40k per head per year to keep here and process 🤷‍♂️👍do the maths. Based upon the UK average salary  contributing £8264 to the coffers of HMRC through tax and NI. I’ve sat and done the figure half a dozen times. The number of hard working tax payers whose entire contribution is being swallowed up is insane. I’ll let the left on here do the sums themselves incase I’m accused of Ist or ic type tendencies.
35k X 40k £8264 ??

You were right, it is this thread. Well, almost. It is about 50% anti immigration, 20% anti Starmer, 15% anti net-zero and 10% LinkedIn screen shots and 5% anything other forum members have the audacity to consider newsworthy or interesting.
