Where I grew up, we used to control errant cows using a farmer, a couple of bits of blue alkathene and a collie.

A little bit of patience and some understanding of the animal's "thinking" would've been more fruitful than scared people harassing it with vehicles.

I see the officer responsible for assaulting it with a vehicle has been removed from duty

A farmer whose runaway cow was rammed by police says the footage of the incident is a sorry sight.

I interesting no doubt, but better than Farage. I heard a speculation this morning that he could get elected as an MP, then cross the floor to join the Conservatives and go on to become their leader. Scary prospect, and by no means beyond the realms of possibility. Politics abhors a vacuum.

A dab of milk on a finger, make a noise like an adult cow, any number of ways it would've willingly followed back to it's field, that's all it wanted. All the talk of it being a danger to people, it's clearly a lost, scared calf.

I put half a dozen of them back in a field the other week that had got on the moor road by doing no more than standing quietly in the right place for a couple of minutes.

Umm, I foresee a costly public enquiry leading to some interesting additions to the police duty belt.

A length of blue alkathene

A bucket of cow feed pellets

A farmer

A Collie dog

A dab of milk

More BS for his little blind mice to nibble on, hopefully. God help us if it ever comes to pass, and I'm not even in the slightest bit religious!
