Well, someone has to have a go.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it at all. I'm glad there's people prepared to attempt hold the ££££ makers/stealers to account. I'm just not very hopeful with such a broken system.

What happened to your info about the superiority of Scottish water? On a par with Scandinavian I think it said.

Meanwhile the privatised English water companies are dumping so much into crap into the sea that we're pissing off our continental neighbours.

May be an image of map and text that says "Water quality in England and Wales is poor compared with Scotland's Proportion of water bodies* by surface area failing to achieve good ecological status, by river basin district (%, 2015) 100 90 80 70 60 50 40 30 20 10 Excluding unknown status Source: European Environment Agency ©FT"

We're in a bit of a pickle as a country at the moment.

Water? A natural resource like oil? Why should they charge for the provision of that?🙄

You wanna go to the well, burn or Lough wi a bucket, and drink the untreated water ?

Never mind disposing of all your shite within your own curtailage?

And obviously all that infrastructure, dams filterbeds, resovoirs and pipes are totally free to provide and maintain?

Scheesh!

You work out what a cuck is yet ??.
With a reply as feeble and impotent as that I think it’s plain to see you probably do actually realise you might have been a bit keen to say the least.

How does that work with a meter then?

My water unmetered charge (includes waste as the bigger portion) is £400/annum. If I had a meter it would be about £150/annum, but priority for meter fitting is to people moving in to unmetered properties so they are not rushing to fit one.

As I understand it if you are metered you receive a monthly or quarterly bill if not it’s included in the council tax as a set fee. My property like a good few in Scotland has a bore hole with all the associated uv, ph and particulate systems in place. That and the septic tank qualifies us for a decent discount on our council tax charge.

Moving a lot OT; do you use an electric pump for the borehole and also treat all the water with UV?

Yes, I have an outlet for external use ie pressure washer etc that’s before the treatment set up but everything that comes into the house goes through it.

Well the Mrs has just worked out our projected Electric bills based upon the latest and proposed upcoming price caps.
Currently £164 per month

Oct due to go to £295

Jan 23 up again to £448

April 23 up again to £ 551.

If Starmer can’t make this the stick he might as well quit as leader of the opposition. As for the Tories as much  as i have always been a Tory voter this may well be a death sentence. Hopefully people will take to the streets big time over this.
