Indeed! The weight distribution would appear to be way out. Looks like he got away with it though damage wise. When I was a passenger in a 'snake' we were pulled onto a gravel/soft verge and flipped. Now that was a brown pants moment!

I don't think 90,s are any good for towing big trailers there too short better off with 110 towing hight and getting the waight in the bight place is the main thing along with the right speed

 

Local on slow roads you'll get away with most things but on motorways at speed things can get really bad rally quick

I picked a GMC day van up yesterday and towed it home 350 miles without a problem

So in the front of that van is a massive lump of pig-iron, giving the trailer a healthy dose of noseweight, hence no trouble towing!

Yup about a tonne ( front half of a defender ) the trucks 145 bhp so also got enuff power to not hold traffic up

 

Most towing accidents involve pick up trucks or 90,s as there too light on the back end

And you have to drop the Engine to change the spark plugs.

Does anyone use / are electric trailer brakes legal here? They are standard in Aus.

 

With an override switch in towing vehicle to manually apply trailer brakes without touching vehicle brakes. Easy way to pull yourself up if you start snaking.
