Cant switch off

I cant seem to switch off,even when im not at work im still looking up at trees,looking at how id climb them,where id anchor in,how id get to the end of a limb etc.

Even just tryin to id species im not sure of...

I even jibber away to the wife if were out walking the dog,she rolls here eyes,glazes over and goes into the nodding head and sayin yeah honey symdrome.

Anyone else do this or am i obsessed/mental...?

I've been doing it for 20+ years.

 

I suspect most tradesmen are the same, roofers, bricklayers, proctologists etc looking at others work, wondering how they'd do a certain job.

As I'm not full time on trees I do it but with everything that I do work wise. Always brain busy which is not good for you.

The thing is I know what I enjoy. But last December on holiday, against my own grain I made a real effort to try things I'd prejudged I wouldn't like. I kept and keep trying things, but what really proved how well I knew myself was when my wife said let's try this new art gallery in Auckland.

First room was a huge almost empty waste of space. I was drawn to the 3 most ridiculous pieces, and offered my comments.

My wife said I think we will go. We did.

 

Tree game is mentally and physically occupying. Requiring alertness.

What can you do to relax. Everything else is in pointless slow motion, unless you do motocross in a weekend with your already pummelled body.

That's why stubby on here is half man half machine. Still on the tools at the end of his working life, probably in pain daily.

 

Does anyone have a cure
