i'd love to live in a big city, much better parks and shops, more for the kids to do, better restaurants, blah blah, problem is I can't afford it so I don't live in a big city, moral of the story if you can't afford to live in London don't live in London. no sympathy here.

It's all relative Beau!

I wouldn't want to live in SW London unless someone was paying me 190k to do so.

They are just mice on a wheel chasing the cheese but never getting it!

Agreed I would not want to live there full stop. Goes to show if your goal is money you never have enough.

my neighbour inherited £30m. It sounds like a lot but their house is a large stately home and must cost a fortune to maintain. For instance the central heating system cost £400k.... Most of their money is in land which will give a poor income..

I don't think money worries are the sole preserve of people with smaller incomes.

I'm sure it's a difficult situation but he always has the option of selling up, buying a fantastic 5m house and living exceptionally well his entire life. Money generally buys you choices.

'We earn £190k a year. Do we need to sell our flat to afford private school fees?' - Telegraph

Had to check it wasn't an old story from the 1st of April but apparently not.

Saw this repost which made me laugh

‘We earn £190K a year. Should we sell a child so we can buy another flat?’

'nother world. I'd sooner be skint on the moors than loaded in London. Just thinking of the big smoke gives me panic attacks.

Blow it all in Cheshire I suspect...

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Say ibrahimovic comes to Manchester (city or United) and earns 200k a week for a two year contract.

He will pay at least half in income tax, approximately 10 million in tax straight into the exchequer.
