I never use helmet mounted muffs anymore , even the most expensive ones never seem to give proper sound attenuation .

I use Peltor rear banded ones , designed to be worn with a helmet , theyve a velcro strap that goes under the helmet .

The black and red ones i believe are the highest level of protection generally available , seem to work well for me .

I like plugs, particularly for the summer time, had a site H&S bod collar me questioning the SNR value.

I showed him what the pack claimed, he wanted to know they were fitted properly and asked for proof of training in same.

Off site to get it for him and kinda forgot to go back, it was only a 30 minute job

Proof of training, what a nugget. Whats the CS unit for that then?

Plugs are all I use, block out noise far better than defenders and as said, are way nicer in the hot weather.

Mine are 37 SNR

What ones do you use? I haven't tried any in years as they always felt like they were about to fall out. I use peltor optimes if don't need a helmet, or my helmet has helberg ones I believe.
