I have the husky one. Its fine, except the oil spout caught and jammed in the oil tank opening on my 254 and broke when I pulled it hard. I bodged it back together and it works, but be warned. Maybe the newer husks have larger oil tank holes, I don't know.

not had enough experience with the new husky one. The Stihl one is pretty bomb proof though. Mine is 10 years old now I reckon and the spout is still in good working order and never sticks. I only have the non spill spout on the petrol side. Don't see much point in it for the oil.

Quick tip, in the winter when the oil is cold and flowing slowly, unscrew the top a quarter turn or so and it comes out quicker.

I've got the stihl can and the oil filler doesn't really want to go in the husky 540 oil hole. So I would say the stihl would be a bigger nozzle. Think I'll try a husky next. I'm sick of the stihl oil spouts falling apart.

We just chuck a bit of fuel in there to thin it out. Works ok. It's nice to hear it glug out straight away.

Like Steve my Stihl can is 10 years old, non spill both ends, although I've probably replaced both in that time.

Filling the 540 is a PITA, the oil fits, but not the mix, so I have to take it off.

Small price to pay though.

Haven't tried the new Husky can, but my last one was so woefully bad I hoyed it on a big fire.
