Some oregon bars have a grease hole in nose sprocket some don't. If they needed greasing they would all have holes.i tend to use power match bars which have replaceable tips but only changed 2 in 20 year's. Do sugi bars have grease holes?as I am going to them next due to the rave reviews about them on here

I stopped greasing them years a go when I had a couple let go . I put it down to fine particles of grit and crud sticking to the grease and acting like grinding past . Since I stopped never had one fail .

 

 

Ahh fair enough, personally I have never greeted a bar, I figure the chain oil does what need to be done.

I had one Sugi bar spin a nose sprocket without greasing it so now I grease the bar on my 660.

 

My 441 is about 7 years old and I think I have cleaned the filter 4 times in that time. It runs like a scalded greyhound! Never had a problem with it.

 

I do regularly clean the air filters on my toppers though.

I have never changed a fuel filter in a petrol tank.

I don't change them unless they are minging!

I have never greased a bar tip on any saw or the clutch bearing on a husky.

Nope, nor do I

I have never cleaned the fins on my 2 strokes.

I think I have seen some of your saws, they cool your engine, if the engine gets too hot:thumbdown:

In twenty years I have not changed more than 10spark plugs on the

saws/strimmers/hedge cutters. When I have it's usually in an effort to fix a saw, and it hasn't worked.

I generally don't change plugs unless the thread in the end electrode has gone or the plug is buggered which is very rare

 

Air filters should be cleaned regularly as the saw will ingest some very fine particles plus the saw will run richer with a blocked air filter.

 

Worn sprockets.....just change the bloody things, if you don't, I will:sneaky2::001_rolleyes:

Guy who works for me hasnt changed the engine oil in his petrol Peugeot in over a decade.

I found seasoned wood is alot worse for bunging up air  filter than green alot more fine  dust.

 

As for sprockets im unsure what is officially classed as  worn out, as opposed to abit worn.
