You can get a 42" GB low profile milling bar and chain that will run on a 461 and a 661. It uses a 3/8" low profile chain and Barrow kerf bar. In that way you can slap on a 4 foot bar on the very rare occasions you need to use it and still have a lighter saw for more often use. Check out milling bars or something on Google.

As many have said 661 for my choice it's a better saw and useable on a daily basis,

The only time I'd buy an 880 is for milling or for an alpine stump grinder

There could be a lot of factors in that though stubby , have not used mine in six month.... Then it will get a hammering so obviously if you have sense you would rinse the tank of stale fuel before use but I bet many don't.

One other thing to consider is you can't get aftermarket pots for the 880, you can get pistons but no pots as no one makes them only genuine stihl, not a big issue with a new saw mind, just thought I would say.

6 years working here on big trees and never thought damn I need an 88. 66 with a 36 inch bar can do any tree, period. Double cutting gives 72 inches
