That is expensive, we use Rye oils 10/40w semi synthetic from a 205 ltr barrel in absolutely everything . That works out at about £1.10 a liter depending who`s on the discount button in the office.

Back "in the day" Duckhams 20/50 was the oil to aspire to. Cortina, Marina, Maxi, Capri etc and a bumper sticker too!

 

Also a rocker cover full of mayonnaise!

 

And a bumper stikker with diagonal red and white strips saying DISKS ! :biggrin:

We put it in everything Ian , lorries ,tractors, vans and small plant. No issues.

Use Rye Oil for chain oil so might get a drum in .

I always check the oil spec , low cost options are not always suitable for late machinery .

Thanks, I will probably buy more 10w40 semi synthetic, think it was only about a tenner per 5l can at the motor factors
